Laddies were offering 5/1 earlier today so it's probably all the arb players pushing it out.

Probably people trading out. If he was mine, he would be straight to the arkle. More queen mother than gold cup, but the owner listen to ruby's conveinant nonsense about it being a stayer. Anyone with balls would send it for the arkle, especially as the fences won't come quick enough in the jlt. He's crying out for a proper 2m, and as a result i'd consider laying him if i were laying. I fancy valseur lido for the jlt. Funnily enough that's another one mullins is trying to up in trip.

I would listen to the jockey, he said he's a stayer and he'll be a GC horse and Faugheen is a stayer+speedster and made the decision to keep Faugheen for the CH, so far he was proven right. Vautour would've had a hard time against the top 2 milers especially with no turn of foot in his arsenal, he just stays stays and jumps beautifully, on par with Coneygree from the novices division.

Hard to say they got it wrong yesterday. I remain to be convinced he would want 3m2f in the mud, I don't remember many Gold Cup horses going as fast as he did yesterday. If he does say, he could be extraordinary. I think he would win the queen mother or Ryanair easily next year. He looked so fresh after the race yesterday, I think he could probably win both of them! Hope he goes for the King George first.

Closest thing I've seen to Kauto star.
Could win a 2m race and a 3m race. |
