I'd have two £50 singles on two horses in the bumper.....then if you have a crap day you still get to the last race with a good bet running, if they lose it was a free bet so you don't lose anything

I reckon bluebirdfan's post above is solid advice - especially with the Bumper containing so many totally unexposed big priced horses; you can have two decent £50 wins on 20/1 pokes that for all we know could we the next Dunguib/Cue Card etc. On the negative side, it's basically the horse equivalent of the lottery! But at least it'd keep you warm all day regardless of how the rest of the punting goes - it's a free get-out or play-up.

...and you wont have to hang around to pick up any winnings from the books, so you can leave as they cross the line!

I would not put my 2 bets on same race, really stupid, fair enough keep 1 for last race, but personally I would start with a free bet in the Neptune and use the other in either rsa or qmc...

You want to have a bet on the big race of the day surely? If it was me I'd stick £25ew on Hidden Cyclone or maybe Special Tiara. And then the Bumper advice isnt a bad idea. At least you know you've still got something going at the end of the day.
