Has to be Sire De Grugy for me. Too many reasons to post with my one finger typing. Which beast will you be 'taking on'?

Lay The New One, not quick enough simple as that

Kings Palace surely has no chance. Likes to dominate small fields of grade 2 or 3 calibre opponents. Folded quickly when the going go tough in Albert Bartlett last year. No doubting but the same will happen again against a big field of top class opponents. Plus he will be taken on upfront by Coneygree, who looks to have far stronger claims.. Place lay..
Report Arklearkle February 28, 2015 1:48 PM GMT
I would lay The New One. Doesnt jump, not fast enough. As I said before could have made a good chaser.
Report Howdi February 28, 2015 3:23 PM GMT
im not sure kings palace has no chance.
Report delsie777 February 28, 2015 3:29 PM GMT
I agree howdi - but I can understand the concern after he bombed last year. He also faces some pretty extrordinary opposition this year if TYM, Don P & Coneygree all take their chance
Report walllace007 February 28, 2015 3:39 PM GMT
Ok I accept every horse has a chance but in terms of his price reflecting his chance, he represents desperate value. Beaten a total of 8 opponents to date over jumps, will be double that in the RSA. It is a very demanding, often messy race totally at odds with the leisurely cruises he has had to date. He will get taken on upfront and i think will down tools when unable to dominate, just like last year when he was legless coming up the hill.
Just an opinion, of course I could be wrong..!
Report LaticsLegend February 28, 2015 3:57 PM GMT
TNO not quick enough? Would of beat the 'slow' MTOY at Kempton if he hadn't crashed through the last, his jumping only slight concern.

Agree with Kings Palace, place lay.

Douvan over-hyped bridle ponce.
Report HaylingBilly February 28, 2015 5:15 PM GMT
Definitely DOUVAN for me. The Supreme Novices is a short priced favourites graveyard. No disrespect to Douvan but its the race conditions and lack of experience of the runners that make this one tough to be short priced and come out ahead.
Report .Fidway. February 28, 2015 5:37 PM GMT

Douvan over-hyped bridle ponce

So where are all these fancy prices from you would be layers - not even any 2/1 on here!
Report walllace007 February 28, 2015 8:56 PM GMT
The Supreme looks to be seriously lacking in depth and quality compared to other years. I agree Douvan has done nothing to be as short as he is but when you look at the opponents, bar Lami Serge they look a very muddling bunch compared to other years. For that reason i would be reluctant to take him on.
Report Can't Catch Me February 28, 2015 9:08 PM GMT
I've rarely known such confidence from the stable either. I definitely wouldn't take him on.
Report delsie777 February 28, 2015 9:10 PM GMT
Me neither - but I will be eagle eyed for any value put up by the doubters
Report splinterboy82 March 1, 2015 1:36 PM GMT
From what I've read, Badcrooks are doing one of their push specials on Douvan at some point over next week....prob 4/1 for £25 or something....I've got no strong opinion on him either way.

My lay is Conti - I'd rather be with Einstein than Nicholls. Why will this yr be any different? I'd rather have past festival winners such as Holywell & LW along with potential of RTR, Djak & CL in my corner. I'll lay 3/1 all day

lay it for everything you've got then .

With ground softish, and mccoy likely attracting mountains of muggy cash every day on all his mounts because hes retiring, i'll be taking on jezki. if the ground does dry up to good i'll take a rethink

Un De Sceaux 1.82

Faugheen 2.42

Annie Power 1.85

Douvan 2.84

Vautour 3.65

Peace N' Co 3.65

Are all relative short price horses/so called bankers for their respective races and not all will win. In fact chances of 50% winning is bigger than their prices currently suggest. There will be more market movements to come between now and the big day. I.e what price Nichols Canyon in the neptune, if turning up must surely be sub 3.5? There are others that this will apply to, Don Poli in RSA or 4 miler example.

I will be taking all these on. I expect to be ahead by the end of the week antepost bets aside.
Report Howdi March 1, 2015 7:28 PM GMT
^^^ over the years youd have done well taking theese shorties on ....4/6Fav you make a profit
Report PeteTheBloke March 1, 2015 8:18 PM GMT
At least STS has prices up. There's no point saying, "I'll lay X, Y and Z" unless you name a price. If you
lay a jolly, regardless of the price, you're just a mug.

Dodging Bullets, Many Clouds.

They won't win.
Report Ming_the_Merciless March 6, 2015 10:48 AM GMT
many clouds wont get it's ground. sad as he's had a great year. Douvan could just be another bridle monkey to add to the list of Rhinestone Cowboy, Dunguib etc but the race does lack depth.

Thing with a lot of these lays put up here is that the bookmakers will make offers on them and they can be backable when they do that. 4/1 Quevega anyone?

I would say that Conti and Zarkander (neither stay) would have to get very big priced for me to back them so they have to be my choices.
Report Money Tree cost me thousands!! March 6, 2015 11:03 AM GMT
I think the Mullins team is being underestimated this year. If 2 out of the 5 listed lose I'll be shocked.
He is the master at prepping them and they will be in perfect condition.
Lay at your peril.
Report duffy March 9, 2015 4:38 AM GMT
Vautour for me, I love the horse and wanted him to be my CH horse for this year...now though he's been moved to the JLT not because he needs a trip but because UDS is in the arkle...coming out of Cheltenham last year you couldn't see him becoming the super sub and I think he'll be beat in this.
