I know, but I noticed a few bookies have chalked up Mickey Mouse prices for 2016. I was thinking about having some
20/1 Peace and Co and then I remembered MTOY. I started wondering if he'd be back.

And before anyone shoots me down - no, I didn't take the 20/1.

If you wrote down a list of 10 horses to form a market for next year, you might not have any of the first three on your list. This time last year, who would have had Faugheen on there? Why would MTOY be any better than when he failed before?

The schooling didn't go at all well, If he comes back next year he'll be heading for the CH. Can't remember what his injury was off the top of my head, Anyone remember what it was ?

Till they can get him to settle,he will never be any better.
If he settles hes the best around imo.

I was speculating about his appearance in the markets. I didn't mean to provoke

I disagree sageform, Faugheen was fancied for the Neptune which is a race that produces CHdl fancies the following season so if you fancy one strongly now then why not look at next years race.

Was having a look at mtoy tonight and think I'll invest e/w at 20/1 nrnb, I could see it go off 10/1-12/1 on the day...

I thought it was interesting who he had his racecourse gallop with. Do you think ( I'm putting 2 and 2 together and making at least 7) that the plan is to get hargam  to put it up to  faugheen in the CH in the hope that it helps MTOY? Didn't look like he pulled to bad on that gallop and if he runs ok at wincanton (and not "great") then I still wouldn't be too worried. I know he was the champ but my belief is that mccoy cost MTOY the CH when behind jezki and that's because he held on to him a couple of strides after jezki had gone for home and then nearly caught him. He was the best horse and if he doesn't pull now, he could be better.

They were my sentiments too needbinoculars. I thought Geraghty just outrode McCoy that day. If he's learned to settle, he's interesting. Let's hope he still has the old ability when he runs at Wincanton.

Who is Walsh going to ride now? Surely if Walsh says hes going to ride NC, theres no way Ricci would want AP in the CH and would switch her to the Mares. I.e if Annie runs CH it has to be with Walsh on board. thats my take anyway

I doubt that very much; the only creditable alternative to replace Faugheen is Douvan (similar ownership) who was entered and taken just prior to x'mas, but too risky given the Arkle is his for the taking.
