I'm guessing they just want to take the money now rather than when he's (imo) a bigger price on the day.

Because they are a joke company with such ridiculously small limits that they can lay him at whatever price they like, it won't cost them much and in the meantime they are getting lots of free advertising.

For example their money back special on the Arkle - refunds of up to £200 per customer on win bets if Un De Sceaux wins - sounds great but I went to back Vibrato Valtat and my max stake is £13! Utterly pointless promotions from an utterly pointless firm.

Totally agree Roger.
This thrive on this type of oxygen. They are a joke firm. They don't take bets. Online or in shops they don't want a penny. Restrictions on everything. People saying this offer or that offer is good but the truth is they will not take a bet so they pay out nothing on the "promotion". Mickey Mouse operation. |

Rotten firm. The worst i've came across, apart from 'racebets', who are hedgers and shouldn't be granted a license. PP, utter garbage in my experience.
|
|
By:
well lads is your experience based on Uk shops or in Ireland, never had a problem or heard of many having problems getting a bet on with PP especially during the festival, just wondering is there a different approach in the UK?
|

By:
Stan James, PP and Boyles, top 3 of worst bookies, close 4th Coral. BHA should fight against these firms, they don't lay any kind of decent bets on horse racing.

UDS to win, Faugheen to finish 1st or 2nd and Douvan to place is 3/1 with another Irish firm. Now i think the middle one is the bogey. Dont think Faugheen will be in the frame. Jezki, Fly and TNO for me not in that particular order tho

By:
They must have bags of cash being top price Vautor Arkle and shortest for UDS Arkle. There will be special offers galore on Faugheen on the day, still think he'll win easy though.

Deise59- they pulled every trick in the book not to pay on an ante post 2nd of mine. Huge wait to accept it like 30 mins. Tried to settle at Sp..that's uk shop. Staff looked ashamed of what turned into a joke as they waited for acceptance of bet. It was not a huge stake either. When I got offered 2-1 place on a 20-1 2nd I just laughed at the poor lad who eventually got it settled 20 minutes later.
If they want shops for FOTB fair enough but don't make out they are a no fear bookie. They are an utter shambles who should not have a bookmaking licence. Online account opened was worthless they won't take over a fiver on racing. No point in opening it in truth. |

Which firm is the 3/1 about UDS winning, Douvan placing and Faugheen finishing in the first 2?
|
|
By:
Faugheen - why are PP so keen to take him on?
They went 11/8 when others were 5/4 in an ante post market. They're now back to 5/4. I bet they've taken peanuts, who's going to go steaming in now, you'd just wait for the day surely. Will probably be bigger then anyway. So in short. They hardly went mad did they! |
|
By:
Just thinking that...So keen to take him on they've lost their marbles and went 11-8 instead of 5-4

Laddies had Faugheen 2/1 for a short time in the afternoon today, Ireland shops; dont know about U.K.

These offers are waste of time as limited to what stakes you can have on.
Spoilsports wouldnt even take bet £50 at 4/1, when they went nr no bet. |
