These type of bets have been quite good to me so far this year.  They've put me on Conti @ 40's, Lieutenant Colonel at 66's and Coneygree @ 25's.

The Apache Stronghold @ 66 and Silver Concorde @ 100 don't look too bad to me for a couple of quid each.

Ive done those 2 chief.
Also had a couple of quid on officieu, and a bit more on Vercingetorix.

Done Coneygree yesterday as well mate, but of course the Gold Cup may ruin that!!

Oh yes,oh yes.

Was worth looking at that market.

I always liked this horse, and was gutted when he missed the festival last year.

Cheers for posting Budd.  I never saw that market until you put this thread up.

Always thought his race should be the JLT rather than the RSA.  On him at 16's, 20's and 66's for that now.

So glad someone benefitted from the tread mate.

Yep,JLT for me as well, although the jockey said they hope hes a Gold Cup horse,so it is possible they may step up.

Thanks for this mate. Had a go of the 66/1 myself. I'm not as concerned as others about it possibly going to RSA. Today and last time are enough proof for me that for now it's a JLT horse. He showed gears there today to come from a decent way off the pace and he even ran around a bit! Then last time over 3m up against Don Poli he actually lands ahead over the last. I'm not convinced he stayed the trip although don poli is a tool.

It's that bit of pace that screams JLT and you'd like to think that irish chase form is worth just as much, if not more than the British. Seems like most recent years are like this now for the novice chasers.

Yes mate I agree,he looked like a non stayer against DP,taking the lead over the last and not winning.Reckon if he stayed he would have won that race.
JLT has to be in my view, I just worry when connections say things like the Gold Cup in the future.

He made a fair error as well today and shows what a good horse he is to get back jumping after that and go on and win.

AS is a very good yardstick for the staying Irish novice chase form as he is so reliable. Well supported in the market today, which was well founded. VL ran as if he needed it. Half a mile out, I thought he would hose up. Travelled like the best horse in the race. I'll be surprised if he doesn't reverse the form with AS at Cheltenham, who had a fitness advantage and a much harder race.

Could be right ff,i certainly think both could finish in front of the other, but the way Mullins was talking just now suggests the RSA could be VL's race.

If they both line up in the JLT, there probably wouldn't be more than a length or two between them.

On a line through Adriana Des Mottes, you have to put Gilgamboa bang in there for the JLT as well.

Looks a cracking race the JLT.

If you believe what WPM tells you, then you are on your way to the poor house. Rely on what you saw. VL may have lacked fitness but he was outstayed by the winner.

Im not saying I believe him, just saying what he said.
To be fair it has been mooted during the season.
I would agree though ff, ive been saying hes not a 3miler.

I've watched the race for the 3rd time. If Willie really believes his horse was beaten because the race was too short, he should be in the confessional on Monday.

He said he may possibly have needed the race, but werent sure.
He then went on to say he could go RSA when Chapman mentioned Vautour and him in the JLT.

Everytime mullins had said ''he could go the xxx'' this season about any horse it's been because it's seen of as the 2nd preference in the markets.
