is this not a fantastic EW bet at 5/1?

rated 147, travelled over irving but was oustayed with arctic fire in third. Won easily lto despite ground being bad, will stay the trip.

Doubts about the favourite, and the mares has been stated as the aim for chelt.

morning run not running, polly peachum PU and dismounted lto (wellbeing?), caroles spirit needs further, as does bitofapuzzle. lunique not good enough, the pirates queen needs producing on the line and probably isnt good enough. dunno where tara point goes but i'd be worried about the ground and if she's quite good enough yet.

glens medoly, little king robin and annie power are the worries. doubts about the latters well being, little king robin has one racing style which would be hard to achieve at chelt. glens melody looks solid and definitely worth saving on at 8s.

Does look a solid bet, same as Glens Melody @ 8's looks a really good e/w bet.

Can't see either being out the places at chelt, and if AP doesn't make it will probably fight out the finish Mischief

Polly Peachum PU and dismounted ? It fell after looking a completely different horse on the bad ground which ties in with other runs so far. It was also it's first go at 3m and looked to have lost it's gears. It was due to run at Ascot in the race bitofapuzzle won but the ground came up soft again and it was pulled. I'm certain you can put a line through that race and it's the each way bet of the festival for me so far. Before it ran last time it was as short as 5/1 for this and the difference to the 16/1 available now is a massive over reaction.

Original Poster - 100% with you, think it may be one of my punts of the week Plain

Don't think it'll stay a truly run 21 furlongs at Cheltenham. Glen's Melody has to be the bet.

Definitely pulled up according to ATR.

Agree that PP is the ew shout of the festival, rated 8lbs higher than Aurore D'Estruval iirc and 16s is crazy. Grade 1 winning form at Cheltenham over 2 and a half on better ground, the form lines with L'Unique and Blue Buttons suggest she can run well into the 150s if not higher and I'm happy to take on AP at odds on after an injury.

She does fall really. But Barry sits it out and then maybe she's technically pulled up?

Beaten at the time regardless.

you're right, didn't realise Barry somehow stayed on. She knuckled/slipped on landing really so must be classed as PU as he stayed on and jumped off.

Sporting life have it as a faller but either way, she can have another chance dropped back on better ground for me. That run shouldn't see her treble in price, especially after being withdrawn due to the same ground a few weeks later.
