Does anyone know what the plans are for this horse? at the moment you can get 55s for the supreme novices, but he also has a Neptune entry. In all his races to date he's pulled hard, but still managed to throw down a challenge and with the SNovices in mind the fact they'll be going that bit quicker might help him settle.
When he raced against Lami Serge, he pulled hard again, but as they came round the bend into the final straight he was still on the bridle. Now obviously it was too far out to say what would have happened had he not fallen, but as LS is second favourite for SN the 55s look a bit of value?
Well he weren't gonna be far away from LS in that race so yeh 55 is value on that basis. He has to run in the race of course, and he has to settle better to figure up the hill. With a top trainer that could get him there with a fair chance though. Yeh,think it worth a risk at a big price, not as if you have to put a lot on.

Would love to see this fella get an entry in the County. Likely fast pace should help him and he looks a horse that will be best running at a decent pace rather than having to do the donkey work himself, as he did against Vyta Du Roc. Think he'svery well handicapped off 136 myself. Wouldn't be at all out of place in the Supreme imo.

Word of warning I'm sure I read Paul Nichols say he is a horse for next year, chasing is his game and isn't bothered about Cheltenham this year for him............. But if that's wrong and he is to turn up then I agree 55's a fair price for the supreme

Emerging Talent is a big chasing type, he was definitely a "anything he does over hurdles is a bonus" cliche horse. He's stabled in Big Bucks old box so they must like him a lot.
They said in a preview I read in September that he was a staying type, and he'd be starting over 2m5+. He ran once over 2m4 and lost, then was cut back to 2miles. I don't think that is his game at all, and they were lucky to get away with his fall last time. Looked horrific.
I think it's just one of those botched seasons for him where everything goes wrong and nothing turns out like you expected. He's probably not a grade 1 novice hurdler, but you wouldn't want to run him in a big field handicap hurdle either given his hurdling, lack of experience and inability to settle.
Wasted year, see you again in October for some small field novice chasing.
