Runs today in the first at Ludlow. Looked good on debut though so does a lot of these juveniles but today will tell us a lot more. Race looks mighty stronger with 2 in it with a penalty including his and a jonjo youngster that is touted to need good ground.

Had a nibble at 46s. We'll see Plain

seathestars do you back every potential cheltenham runner before they run antepost? every time one wins you say you took this price pre-race

you must back heavy odds on each race combined no?

Was more impressed by Jonjo's horse to be honest on debut. Jumped well and given a very tender ride.

^ Wonder if there's any way they can get it handicapped for the Fred Winter?

Now come on, I'll take the loch ness monster and I'll even consider little green men from mars as a possible....and even though there's been improvement this year ( Parlour Games)I can't have one of these flat ferguson horses coming up the Cheltenham hill in front of everything else on the day.

So tender that AP was obliged to explain it to the stewards...

They clearly were n't able to get Matorico (for it is he!) handicapped for the Fred Winter but he still holds an entry for the Triumph.

It's a hot race, AP will ride Hargam but it's interesting that Matorico sire is Mastercraftsman whose progeny were generally a star turn on the flat last summer. Surely if Matorico takes up the entry it's half a tip in itself and he's one (of very many admittedly) who would likely step up his performance level given normal festival ground.

Not saying he's going to win but if he turns up he looks like one to outrun his odds.
