anyone find them enlightening? went to one last year and there was reasonably informative phone interview with david pipe and some irish guy (can't remember who?) got a few laughs when re big bucks, he said sam TD couldn't sit still at mass,,,guess it depends on the quality of guest
A few years ago Davy Russell was asked his opinion on his ride in the grand annual. A horse called tiger cry. He was very coy and didn't really enthuse on the horses chances.
A few days later the horse won. Heavily supported as well.
I can't remember how it came about or who asked him, but someone mentioned why he didn't mention the horse at the preview evening.
'' I didn't want everybody knowing he was a good thing'' (or words very similar to that effect) was Russell's response.
preview evenings are a good place to go for a pint and a chat. Don't expect to find winners.
