Heading up to the Festival early on the Monday this year with a view to taking in a pub lunch somewhere in the Cotswolds on the way.

Can anyone recommend a pub in the catchment area between Oxford and Cheltenham, with good views of the Cotswolds and ideally a racing vibe?

I'm seeing on Google recommendations for The Plough at Ford mainly, apparently opposite our Jonjo's. Where would forumites recommend?

Thanks

The Hollow Bottom in Upper Guiting is a lovely pub, and very much a racing pub. I've been there a few times and have always enjoyed it.

Hollow Bottom is a good call. You might ave to tread over NTD on the Tuesday night if TNO wins the Champion Hurdle mind!

Slightly off topic but we are stopping at a village called Stonehouse near Stroud for the festival this year, anyone know it?

Had a couple of excellent lunches in there

The Bell at Stow On The Wold is usually rammed with racing folk at festival time.

Seen Choc Thornton in there a couple of times
