Due to run tomorrow in the first race at Newbury. Only Paddy Power currently have him priced up and are generous as always with odds of 10/11 on offer. I'm more than happy to let him run at that price but will be watching with interest as both Henderson and Geraghty have both mentioned him as "one to follow" earlier in the season. For anyone interested this was the horses last win in France, rather impressive ... http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Oky88YoGvEs ... Top Notch is currently 33/1 in most places for the Triumph Hurdle so could be worth a small play.

You would think Harry Fry should be aiming his horse at the fred winter, so it shouldnt really want to win tomorrow, well if he does not that well.

Oh to be Simon Munir. Can't remember a better juvenile team than his this year. I don't know who is buying his horses, but they are clearly good judges.

tough ask to give 10lbs to the fry horse today, plus race fitness...if he does, we will dealing with another above average juvenile

Didn't looks as flashy as some but that could be a great run to give the 2nd 10lbs.

Had a very small bet at 33s for the triumph before that race and backed him today at what has turned out to be a really shoite price. Only time will tell whether ive a good bet for Chelt, wont be a 33/1 shot on the day though. He's just the sort that can win triumph's given the hurly burly nature of the race and the sort of price you want to be taking at this stage on horses if your having an antepost bet in such a race.

Top Notch entered in Supreme Novices trial at Haydock Saturday......are they thinking of Supreme for this one??

Just noticed, also entered in Juvenile Hurdle at Ascot, same day.

Also Ante Post entry for 2M Betfair Hurdle (former Tote Gold Trophy) at Newbury in Feb.  I am keen on this one, and he seems to be earmarked to breakout of Juveniles into All Aged races, so yes the Supreme could figure, but the owner has the highly rated 2nd Fav for the Supreme, so I would be more keen on upcoming races rather than guessing which Festival Race.

really like this one and think he will end up stable number 1 come march, * sticks neck out * Tongue Out

Alleged, I'm with you. Loved his attitude on his debut and hoping he goes to the Triumph. However, unless Peace and Co doesn't take to Cheltenham, I fear he ends up in the Betfair and / or Aintree. Gut instinct tells me he will prove superior to his stablemate, if only in time.

Don't think he's eligible for the supreme as he won over hurdles last March. He's eligible for Triumph though.

Any chance they could send Peace and Co to supreme and Top Notch to Triumph?

There is if the petrol gauge runs empty up the hill on Peace And Co's visit their this month I'd have thought.

Won't matter how tired PAC is at bottom of the hill, he'll be 15 lengths ahead !! ;o)

What price will Top Notch be for the Triumph if it wins the Ascot 12.40 today? It's still 20/1 with several bookies.
By:

I suppose it depends how he does it. He should win comfortably in my view.

Ive backed him for Triumph, but I have concerns that he may skip the festival and be fresh at Aintree, owner has a few in the Triumph,i don't think all will run in the race.

Seems a straight forward honest horse who I imagine they will look forwards to going chasing with. Early 140's is about where I'd say he is and unless there is a radical improvement I'd be surprised if that is quite good enough to win this Triumph.

Looks like a battled hardened hoss
I rate that form at 150
Only ridden in small fields and soft ground ,though
looking at his action better ground would suit
It seems interesting that the first choice rider
to Simon Munir has only ridden him .
If he lines up for the Triumph after this  ,14-1 is a fair
price

Really impressed with Top Notch, and his jumping is really good, looks a real natural.
Still available at 20's which to be honest surprises me.
Triumph Hurdle is right up his street, good jumper, turn of foot and looks like he stays well.

It's a fair price but it's got to be a concern about him turning up, these are post race comments from trainer:

They didn´t go that slow but it still looked a bit of a dash up the straight. Top Notch enjoyed himself. Simon and Issac have a fair hand and there´s no point chucking them all in. Peace And Co has to do again what he did the other day but if what was very obvious at Doncaster comes up again at Cheltenham next weekend he might be the one. This horse would be good back-up if that was the case. - Nicky Henderson, trainer.

yeh,ive said that's a concern,be a shame imo, horse looks tailor made for the race to me.
Ive taken a chance but not gone too mad, would be nice if someone went NRNB on all races earlier in season..

Just love the way he jumps.

Definitely worth an ew punt at 16/1.  He's the best jumper of all the novice hurdlers that I've seen this season.
By:

Massive price that, tempted to go in again.
How hes such a difference to PaC is rather puzzling imo.

Yes Chief, hes the best jumper ive seen as well mate.

Agreed, I've been in twice at 16's.

Just have to hope the owners (and Henderson advising them) send 2 well fancied horses for the same race.
By:

When: 15 Feb 15 10:40
Jacob said hes definitely running.
I think the owner would want 2 shots at beating Hargam.

Has a trainer ever trained the 1st 3 home in the Triumph??....very much doubt it somehow.
By:

When: 15 Feb 15 10:51
I wouldn't have wanted to have lumped on Peace and Co and sub 2/1, when you've got two like Hargam and Top Notch lurking in behind.

With these juveniles you just don't know much they've got up their sleeve, but I'd rather take a chance on the latter pair, who have looked just as good as the favourite to me.

I'm worried he is now a full point bigger on here than when before he ran yesterday and to much bigger sum trying to lay him than has ever been the case Scared

I wouldn't worry  Ladbokes   have cut him from 16s to 12s today. Still overpriced, he has a massive chance.

Still available at 14/1? I thought he'd be clear second favourite after yesterday. Jumps beautifully and has a 100% record over hurdles.
