Very impressive just there at Chepstow. Beat a lot of the better British juveniles with the minimum of fuss.

Beats Hargam with a line through Karazak.

same connections as peace and co. could he be going supreme i wonder hes got loads of good juveniles!
Report SoYouThink December 27, 2014 2:10 PM GMT
Gordon Elliott has another one as well belonging to Munir that he was talking up. One of them could end up in the Supreme alright. Bristol De Mai was impressive though, jumped very well and travelled easy and he's made short work of the best juvenile race run this season.

This horse is the new Peace & Co imvho
Report Eeternaloptimist December 27, 2014 3:37 PM GMT
Can't have that. Two different sorts. This one in my view will excel in deep winter ground. Peace And Co has more class. It's like comparing a Rolls Royce with a Land Rover.

haha welcome to the net ^^^^ Laugh

Expected to be even better on good ground (From the lad who used to ride him in France)
Report Howdi December 27, 2014 6:31 PM GMT
lol
Report Eeternaloptimist December 27, 2014 9:59 PM GMT
Ddidn't do owt on decent ground in France. Any excuses for that followed by a massive step up when he had deep ground?
Report Ibrahima Sonko December 27, 2014 10:09 PM GMT
Certainly needs to perform away from the deep ground at chepstow.
Report ReaseHeath December 27, 2014 11:03 PM GMT
his French form is hardly conclusive is it? Last in two small field APQS races (one on GS and one on ground which I can't see a description for).

He does have to show he can do it on better ground though - one more race before Festival according to NTD so it's conceivable we could go into the festival none the wiser.
Report buddeliea December 28, 2014 8:00 AM GMT
Trainer says hes plenty of class and sees no problem with better ground.
Exciting horse and can see him or peace &  co in the Supreme. Owner has another Juvenile out tmrw - Top Notch, he could make it even more confusing!!
Report Can't Catch Me December 28, 2014 8:41 AM GMT
Definitely Budd. Should he win impressively, you would have to believe one will go to the Supreme with the allowance, and two for the Triumph. NJH looks pretty light for the former, so he may well talk the owner into this option for Peace & Co.
Report buddeliea December 28, 2014 8:49 AM GMT
They will certainly discuss all options catch.
If timeform are accurate with their 155 then with his allowance hes fav for the supreme right now.
That's timeform ratings though, not something I would wager horses on myself, but IF they are right??

Munir also has Vercingetorix in the first at Limerick today.
Report gutfeeling December 28, 2014 12:35 PM GMT
Only sharing what I've heard Eeternal, I always trust the formbook more myself as people get attached to their horses and will give positive feedback more often than not, Will see how he goes when he gets better ground in UK, GL.
Report buddeliea December 28, 2014 4:24 PM GMT
So owner has yet another contender with Vercingetorix, impressive today.
The plot thickens!!!
Report brandyontherocks December 28, 2014 4:30 PM GMT
Top Notch runs tomorrow too.
Report buddeliea December 28, 2014 4:34 PM GMT
yeh mate, never known anything like it with one owner having so many good juveniles.
Wonder if hes got anymore to appear??Laugh
Report brandyontherocks December 28, 2014 4:36 PM GMT
Quite extraordinary.

Bet you were pleased with Road To Riches today.
Report buddeliea December 28, 2014 4:38 PM GMT
yes mate, very pleased. Just watching it again.
Major player in the Gold Cup for sure.
Report Eeternaloptimist December 28, 2014 8:20 PM GMT

I never assume anything but I'd be surprised if that's the case. Henderson and the same owners have the second favourite for the Supreme which was impressive and Ascot. Embarrassment of riches getting almost Richyesque.
Report Eeternaloptimist December 28, 2014 8:24 PM GMT
budd

There's lots of decent sorts have tried to go for the Supreme as a four year old and they nearly all come up short.
Report Ibrahima Sonko December 28, 2014 8:28 PM GMT
Binocular was a fine 2nd, Hors La Loi III won.

Not many possible triumph favourites have contested the supreme.
Report buddeliea December 28, 2014 8:32 PM GMT
Not sure weve had one rated this high though mate.

Im just trying to 2nd guess what an owner with 2,3 maybe 4 good juveniles will do with them all, find it interesting talking about it and listening to others opinions.Never really come across this situation with an owner before, not with juveniles anyway.
Report Eeternaloptimist December 28, 2014 9:15 PM GMT
Completely fascinating. Good job they aren't trained by Mullins.
Report Eeternaloptimist December 28, 2014 9:22 PM GMT
A salutary lesson Ibrahima. McManus had two seconds that year. I suspect he'd happily trade those in for a chance at one win. Not many trainers win both so if I had two outstanding chances Id run em both in the same race f that was the ideal one for them. To be fair the Supreme might have been the better race for a speed horse like Binocular.
Report Benjy December 28, 2014 10:00 PM GMT
Interesting thought on Peace and Co going for the Supreme. Hendo did do it and go close with Binocular as stated above so he may be keen to try it again if the owners are.

The market suggests not though atm.
Report Eeternaloptimist December 28, 2014 11:39 PM GMT
He looked like he'd like to go around again over two miles one at Donny and he is a big fella. Who knows with Chemical Nicky though.
Report Ibrahima Sonko December 28, 2014 11:42 PM GMT
Peace & Go just screams speed to me and would do well in the supreme.
Report Eeternaloptimist December 28, 2014 11:51 PM GMT
I'd agree he'd do well. It is a question of whether they want to take that chance maybe second or third favourite or have a clear favourites chance in the Triumph.
Report Eeternaloptimist December 28, 2014 11:52 PM GMT
Winners of the Chepstow race haven't done so well in recent years.
Report Ibrahima Sonko December 28, 2014 11:55 PM GMT
chepstow is a stinker but this was his british debut with a trainer who doesnt under race his horses.
Report Eeternaloptimist December 29, 2014 12:15 AM GMT
It's slightly complicated by the fact that NTD can be a little exuberant about some of his horses. I'd like to see this one on decent ground before committing to a strong view.
Report Can't Catch Me December 29, 2014 1:09 AM GMT
NJH is in the worst form at this time of the season that I can ever remember.

Imagine how good P&C could be.....
