I thought he looked and ran the part today. Obviously lacks experience, but i took the 16s for the supreme. I might have went in a bit soon, though bets aside, he appears to be more than useful.

Patrick Mullins stated "we think he is very very good" after yesterday. Interesting enough to go in at 16-1

Was just about to start a thread on this beast then noticed this one.

I agree. Just noticed he is into top priced 10's and tempted to top up.... Just as impressive as L'Ami Serge for me... Yet did it on better ground, and the form probably isn't miles apart.

He needs another couple of runs. This is the problem. The size of him and date of debut probably shout handicap, but i can only hope.

Nah I don't think so mate. JP will want a runner in the Supreme and other than Jollyallan he has nothing. Can't think Patrick Mullins said what he did for nothing...

And Vautour didn't run until December last season, literally a couple of weeks earlier. Plenty of time to get the two extra runs into him.

Gilgamboa went handicap route on the way to the Supreme, so that could be an option?

I thought Graeme meant handicap at the festival mate?

Agree he could well run in one prior to the Supreme though... Maybe even the Betfair Hurdle, knowing Willie's propensity to come over here this season?

Yeah think he did mate, just wondering if they want to pick up a nice prize on the way.

To be honest, I've never seen him. On my to do list tomorrow to have a look at his vid.

I'd definitely recommend it mate... Really fine specimen and one to follow for sure.

Already thinking he will be my 2016 Arkle horse Love

One thing Patrick already has his eye on. Black Herculese for the 2016 NH Chase. Happy

This is a horse which was tipped to me before its debut @25/1. Word was that it was working like a machine at home. Pretty sure it will be JP's number 1 supreme horse but do worry about it getting another 2 runs in beforehand.

This could be the wider issue of mullins having so many good ones. He doesn't like them to meet each other so how does he actually get the necessary practice in beforehand for them all and could this be his undoing come the festival?

Just watched his race, and you're right CCM, has chaser written all over him.

For this years Supreme, I'm not sure I'd be at the front of the queue to take the 10's though - I think his big days will be in the future, maybe rather than this year?

Almost all Supreme winners are chasers these days, Vautour, Champagne Fever, Al Ferof, Menorah. So don't be worrying about that.

Yes I agree with what you are saying chief, but would have replied just as CVB has!

Paddy have just replied to my email and offered me 16/1 for the 2016 Arkle. Fearless these bookmakers Plain

Meant to add.... I'm not worried about his size, simply because he appears to have so much speed.

Yeah guys, not nessecarily the fact he looks a chaser is putting me off, its his lack of experience - one maiden hurdle and a bumper in France over a year ago is all he's had.

The horses mentioned above like Al Ferof and Champagne Fever had been in Champion Bumpers and several hurdle races, and Menorah and Vautour both had at least three hurdles races each.

Sprinter looked pretty green in his Supreme, but everyone knew his big days were ahead of him, I have a feeling this fella might be similar (not on ability of course!)

Only just seen the video myself, ultimately looked very impressive, early to middle part of the race I'd question his awkwardish/gangly look about him over some hurdles, wonder if he good get bumped about and lose his position in the hurly burly of the supreme, could see him staying on strongly from behind though.

Is Jollyallan going for the Supreme or is this JP's runner? It looks like he has handicaps in mind for Joshua Lane

Where we at with this one ? Ruby aint mentioned him as a threat to douvan. I think willie and ruby have this race.

Ruby mentioned him on the RUK half term report. He said both this and Douvan are big horses who are both very good. Ruby won't say much because AP will ride him anyways as he is JP's. He is due out next Sunday I believe!

Thanks wizard.  Ricci likes the supreme, which maybe tells us the score. You never know though.

JP loves a tilt at the Supreme, being double/treble handed is not an issue.
I'm on this fella at 33s so fingers crossed this is still the target. Massive talent !

Anyone heard anything re which race for AV?

Also heard something about Mullins sending him to the festival for experience??
That don't sound right to me,any info most welcome.

He's only left in The Supreme.
By:
Graeme83
When: 06 Mar 15 19:15
They've all said supreme, but you know what Mullins is like.  There's not much expectations surrounding this horse now.  That might not be a bad thing.
By:

When: 06 Mar 15 19:20
What you mean by not much expectation greame? Is this just going for experience thing actually true??
By:
Graeme83
When: 06 Mar 15 19:28
I don't know if anyone said that, but that may be their intention. He was gubbed lto, as the campaign hasn't worked out. A nothing race, then well beaten in the deloitte. You'd have to think they have lost faith on him winning next week. He's probably not mccoys number 1 choice, let alone mullins.
By:

When: 06 Mar 15 20:27
Well we know he aint Mullins number 1,thats pretty clear the way he talks about Douvan.but will be interesting if AP chooses to ride him.

Mullins son ( who's first name escapes me) did a Q&A a couple of days ago & said that AV is very talented but is next years horse.

Well if he cant win,i hope he don't run,at least I will get me money back.
Not much fun watching a horse ive backed knowing it wont win!!

The panel were all over him at the skybet preview and Ricci is scared of him. Reckons he should be going for Neptune, you could just sense he knows how good he is!
By:

When: 06 Mar 15 21:31
Seems to me like a sort of un atout scenario. They won't push him over hurdles, because he's a chasing prospect, and as was the case when un atout ran in the supreme, they have a ricci horse to carry their hopes.  I'm not even convinced AV will be primed like douvan. Politics and all that.

What happened to the days when horses ran on their merits & not for owners/politics reasons !!!
