1. Peace and Co - Triumph Hurdle 2. Blacklion - Albert Bartlett Howdi - I'm not sure if Boston Bob is a dour stayer - certainly his best wins have been over 2.5m and more often than not, he's been found out over 3m+. I know he did win at Punchestown. If he runs well in the Lexus, then yes I could agree he could be a GC contender but if he finishes down the field, then in my opinion it's another tilt at the Ryanair. |

O'Neill stable fortunes start an upturn on Betfair Hurdle day which culminates in a clean sweep in the Festival handicaps (all but one in the Green and Gold), the highlight of which is Get Me Out Of Here finally laying his festival hoodoo to rest in the Coral Cup. Jonjo is interviewed after each winner, smiles a lot but says little other than 'he's a nice horse'. Sadly More Of That is turned over at odds of 1-3 in a World Hurdle which cuts up to 5 runners after MOT's comeback victory by 74 lengths at Newbury which includes the performance of a dressage routine between the final hurdle and the finishing line.At Fisher's Cross wins at 6-1 despite not being seen since Wetherby on the first day of November. Barry Geraghty rides AFC after all the Henderson World Hurdle contenders are withdrawn due to the 'wrong kind of grass' on the New Course.Rebecca Curtis just edges it from Geraghty and JP in the post race smiling competition. |

Sprinter Sacre wins the Queen Mother Champion Chase on the bridle by 15l and everyone is left thinking why didn't I back him at 4/1 at Christmas when he is probably the best 2 miler of all time. Bobsworth powers up the Cheltenham hill after a clean round of fences and wins the Gold Cup. Again everyone is left gutted thinking why didn't I take double figure prices at Christmas after glancing at it past Cheltenham form and realising last years Gold Cup was a complete fluke with Lord Windermere being tailed off in last.

After a failed attempt to stay 3 miles in the King George, Champagne Fever reverts to 2 miles and leads all the way to win the Queen Mother champion chase....all the talk is of a Champagne Fever Vautour clash in the 2016 renewel after the latters demolition job in the previous day's Arkle!!

Nicholl's decides to send Unioniste to the Gold Cup, and the crowd goes silent halfway up the run in as he out battles Silviniaco in the last 100 yards.
Sprinter does make it back and wins the Queen Mother. Gigginstown have there best ever Festival. The New One wins a vintage Champion Hurdle with Jezki second and Faugheen unplaced. Mon Parrain puts up an awesome round of jumping and wins the National. |

Yes Howdi, unplaced! Faugheen hasn't conclusively proven to me that he has improved sufficiently to beat last years Champion Hurdle form, which I believe was well above average. The New One was unlucky in last years race and is at his optimum age of 7. Jezki will get the fast pace and ground he needs to be at his best, and there is still the legendary Hurricane Fly.
Faugheen looked impressive at Christmas, but he only beat a bunch of handicappers, even Mullins says he has to improve to win the Champion. It would be no disgrace for him to finish behind them. |

We're only 10 days into 2015 and my two are down already!
UDS thread calmed down now and sadly Simonsig ofts  My two revised ones are: 1. Bryan Cooper to break the Walsh/Geraghty domination at the festival 2. A bit of a long shot, but the Wylie's to have two festival winners since 2008 with Inglis Drever and Tidal Bay with Shaneshill and Black Hercules. |

1) I will watch the last race on channel 4 on the Wednesday and armed with my paying ante-post vouchers from the Tues and Weds I head out to the betting shops in the town to collect and watch the last 2 races, which include the bumper, saying that I will not play the bumper!
2) The opening show comes through for the bumper and I think what the heck it wont hurt to have a few very small each way wagers as if I don't play I am sure this will be the year that I will have picked out the winner cos i can never help myself but to glance on the screens and do my doe cos out of the 6 I pick that are like 12/1 20/1 25/1 33/1 14/1 and 16/1 the closest i get is like 10th and low and behold a 40/1er wins the race again lol. |
