I wonder how many times we've heard this in the past. Having said that, Ricci spoke very highly of him in several interviews and of course comes with a big reputation achieving what he did in France. For anyone that hasn't seen its last win you can watch it here > http://vimeo.com/m/84329690

Patterson I agree, you here it every year with aiden obrien, ive heard this off 2 different people,Mark Howard, and someone who used to work for johnjo when he trained near me at Skelton,Ricci mentions the horse every time he is on tv,I'm on already, hopefully pay for my week and the pressure will be off !

Oh don't get me wrong mate, I too have invested a few weeks back after Ricci spoke to Matt Chapman on ATR. There's certainly nothing stood out for me in the trials so far from the home team. Even though we are yet to see Allez jump a hurdle, what we do know is that he is very highly thought of, is in the best hands possible and is trained/owned by the same men who won the race in 2013 and 2014.

I am slightly worried that his three wins all came on very soft ground, and on his only run on decent ground he was pulled up. Maybe a coincidence, but enough to make me hold fire for the time being.

Funny the things you hear, over the weekend I was told who their best novice hurdler is and the name was not Allez Colombieres
They have a number of novice hurdlers who could become top class, Allez C is definitely one of them.

Tell Us More, maybe they knew that's what I wanted to hear, backed him a couple of weeks back for the Neptune.
I wonder which of them will run in the Royal Bond? He has Shaneshill, Allez Colombieres, Max Dynamite, Sempre Medici and Nichols Canyon entered.

Can go win it's novice race at Cheltenham by 30 lengths hard held, Still will need 20+ Grade 1's in open class or 3 champion hurdles on its CV to be the best they've ever had won't it.

Well he may turn out to be the best they have ever had...who knows!! At this stage hes simply a talking horse, and Ruby said earlier on RUK that he aint sat on him yet.
Anyway, all the OP said was what he had been told, nice of him to share that imo. Course it could be b0ll0cks,but then again......,we have to wait and see.

Ur right buddeliea,I've said what I've heard, that's all, don't know anyone in the stable, don't know many people in horse racing, would have to be some horse to be anywhere near some of them !

Cufcno1 - tell us more entered in two races at weekend over 2m. If he runs in one of those you'd have to be thinking that he won't be going 3m this year. I've backed him for neptune and would be more than happy with a start over min distance

Outlander and Alpha Des Obeaux look more like Albert Bartlett horses for Giggenstown than Tell us More. When Mullins clan say a horse has speed and stamina they are talking about the Neptune.
I'd imagine Shaneshill and Tell Us More will be running in Neptune, maybe Sempre Medici too.
Allez Columbieres most likely to go Supreme, stays further but so did Champ Fever and Vautour.

If he wins on Sunday the parasites will halve his odds for March.
If he gets beat a length or two he'll stay the same price.
The only way his odds will get pushed out is if he is tailed off.
Purely on a financial basis taking the 10/1 now looks a good investment.

Declarations at 10am tomorrow morning. Will find out then if he goes for the maiden or Grade 1. It's not common for Mullins to throw horses in the deep end but if memory serves me correctly he threw Pont Alexandre straight into a Grade 1 on debut?

The market would suggest both of the Mullins horses won't run. Top 3 in the betting are 5/4, 2/1 and 5/2. That's 105% overround without even considering the others.

According to someone on Twitter who claims to be in attendance at a preview night with Patrick Mullins and Barry Connell, Allez Colombieres is an intended runner and No More Heroes is a likely non runner ... won't know for certain until declarations tomorrow I suppose!

Willie Mullins on his Racing Post Blog - "Ruby rides Allez Colombieres, who came to us with a good reputation from France. He was a three-time bumper winner there and his form looks very, very good. And he has done nothing but impress us at home since his arrival. We were patient with him, and he's a beautiful horse who shows us a nice bit of ability at home. He'll be very competitive."

Didn't see a bad injury when rewinding it. Looks maybe like one of the forelegs was hurt. Didn't see the horse on the track after the finish line.
I wonder did something not just feel right and Ruby pulled him up.

It's absolutely desperate for this to happen and I certainly don't want to use this terrible incident to make a point, but I find myself doing it anyway....for all the other horses that this owner has, strike while the irons hot and get your horses in the right races and give them the best chance to win a race that their talent deserves....you never know what's round the corner.
