Would be great to see these races as part of the overall build-up to the Festival and would offer some great race viewing... so why doesnt channel 4 show Irish races as part of its live racing coverage???

The economics of televising horse racing don't stack up for CH4 (viewing figures / advertising revenue). The only reason they show any UK racing at all is because Sheik Mo / Dubai bankroll it. If he pulled out they would stop showing racing altogether just like the BBC did.
