Fine Article - trained by Paul Nolan and a half brother to Joncol. Lovely big horse who ran really well in bumpers last season but is crying out for further and some obstacles.

Irving will be a lot better than he showed in the Supreme
|
By:
Altior and Miles to Memphis are a couple of novice hurdlers who could be exciting.
Sausalito Sunrise and Carraig Mor are a couple of horses I think will do well novice chasing this season. Pendra and Victor Hewgo are a couple of handicappers I think should improve from their current marks. |

Really looking forward to seeing Southfield Theatre going novice chasing, not sure if he's classed as a dark horse being from a big stable but can see him doing really well

Dell Arca of Pipe's to make up into a top class chaser.
|
By:
ive wondered about irving , bad day or as good as he is, in the supreme?
|
By:
I thought Nicholls said Irving returned a dirty scope after the Supreme but it has taken him until his owners day for the information to get out. He certainly was very disappointing but as a consequence he might be better handicapped.

^^^ Greatwood hurdle?
|
By:
Irving wasn't well after cheltenham and as my dad is a share holder we know why he didn't run his race. He will be aimed at the Elite hurdle first at wincanton, which being a right handed flat track should suit for his first run back. Hopefully it can be another exciting season.

Chart Breaker (dark). This one not dark but could go up to 160+ when up to 3miles plus Sound Investment.

Irving will be a lot better than he showed in the Supreme Washington Irving? |

Ballybolley
Sego Success Billy Biscuit Not exactly dark horses but felt all had plenty of improvement to come for a summer break. |
By:
I made a very positive note of Prince of Lombardy last season. Owned by Dr. Lamb and trained by Jim Culloty, he won't be rushed but could turn out to be top class in time.
|
By:
Cocktails at dawn,"......... Didn't show a lot last season ,some big handicaps in him ,on its way to making a nice novice chaser ,
|
By:
This talk about Irving made me remember the horse they made oddso on to beat it- CUP FINAL - Nicky Henderson and JP.
Ran 3 times in 3 very good races taking market support yet did not quite meet expectations, surely better things "were" expected and could be one to look at in handicaps. Cup Final- N Henderson. |
By:
this animal will probably run only 5 or 6 times this season with the gold cup in march surely the optimum target. not exactly a dark horse for this season, but HOLYWELL must surely be in the mix in all races he runs in during the campaign.. as a bonus he will travel very strongly during his races and is classic back to lay material on the day... good luck everyone.

Turnandgo . . . Hasn't been seen since Patrick Mullins unseated when 1/10 last December. Some smart form before that, could be one to keep onside

Ptit Zig - Arkle ? RSA ?
|
By:
im keeping an eye on ptit zig liked him last year and he ran in the champion which was high praise. (Balder suceess did similar). I am surprised there has been little or no mention of another one here, namely
saphir du rheu.........who had some top class form in the book last year. |
By:
SECRETE STREAM should win his share when the mud is flying.
Won his novice hurdle in a very fast time at Wetherby last Christmas and was subsequently beaten by the smart Clever Cookie (look what that's gone on to do on the flat) in a hot race at Kelso. Malcolm Jefferson knows the time of day when it comes to placing horses and this one is one to follow on the northern circuit IMO |

Have a nice bumper horse and a possible Triumph/Fred Winter horse in yard, Can't state names but when they are ready to go I'll drop a hint or 2 (A few know where I work but I'd not want it common knowledge tbh).
Have heard Highland Castle jumps like a buck but it's 50/50 to if he goes novice hurdling. |
