I'm sure I will get the usual stick about me been Mark Howard, as I have for several years now. However, I decided to review his book last night, that was published in September, last year. Did he find any Cheltenham festival winners this year.................you bet he did Shocked

Faugheen - Neptune
O'Faolains Boy - RSA
Vautour - Supreme
Very Wood - Albert Bartlett

As you'd expect some horses selected that didn't deliver but four winners is some going, well done Mark Grin

Did he actually recommend those horses for those races?

he only names about 500 horses so he should get more than 4 winners,is a good read though !

You been interviewing trainers already, tell us more is a must, giggingstown stud normally don't like buying over 90.000 euros, tell us more cost 290.000,jollyallan was bought by jp after winning a bumper and is that that category of what he does over hurdles will be a bonus, lovely chaser in the making, fort worth is a lovely presenting gelding who won his only start at Huntingdon I think easily and is owned by magnier and derrick Smith and is trained by Johnjo,we will see Howdi.

Was told good story about Jollyallan when down at Harry Frys last month. After his debut bumper win, Paul Nicholls rang up and said he had someone interested in buying the horse for 250k. Said that the buyer would keep the horse in training with Harry...

Not that Nicholls was lying or anything Plain but they got in touch with JP and sent him video of the bumper win and of the offer they received and asked if he was interested to match it.

You can see by the silks he ran in today what the outcome of that was Grin

Great thing about JP is he'd never move the horse out of the yard. Could be a really important horse for Harry, really hope he stays sound, but is a chaser in the making and will be better over further and soft ground. Will ask him on Sat if he thinks he's one for Cheltenham this season.
