King might want to give Balder Sucess one more bash at Cheltenham (a course he has shown a through hatred for to date) at the November meeting and if he runs well there, he could be a player in the QM Chase but otherwise, yeah I'd go with SDG....

Add a zero to that, Still wouldn't be much value.

I'd want 28/1 that Simonsig turns up at Cheltenham!

i was very impressed by holywell,14s massive for the best rated novice chaser to win the gold cup, backed josses hill at cheltenham and that has to be arkle bound...12s roughly

Next years Gold Cup betting incredible really. Never seen it so open.

yep, Josses Hill at 12/1 for the Arkle for me. I know he has 6 lengths to make up on Vautor, but Geraghty rejected him that day as he was not 100%. An admission in his ATR blog. 12/1 vs 5/1 for Vautor. Easy pickings.

Silviniaco Conti with cheekpieces/Blinkers to help.....Ran good races all year. Haydock, Kempton, Chelters, then wandered & won at Aintree. Probably the most consistent of the contenders in 2014. Not sure I see anything coming from the novices to beat him.
14/1 seems a good bet, though I think Kempton suits him best, so hopefully we'll have an antepost market for the King George soon. |

not sure the 33s Benefficient is value seen as he has been retired.
|

I have to say on reflection the one horse that makes most appeal is Conti......highly likely to go there / consistent / proven
|
|
By:
If as usual all the Irish horses stay in Ireland, then 5/1 would be pretty good.
I guess Conti will still be 5/1 in October though, before we get the Betfair at Haydock, so sensible to keep powder dry till then, and see what I can get on the exchange. I backed Cue Card last year in the KG, was counting my money......never mind! |
