I doubt it.

A great lad but he has either messed up tactically through panicking in previous rides or been in the wrong place at the wrong time which was unlucky.

The New One has the ability to be a multiple Champion Hurdle winner yet I am far from convinced he will ever win one with the trainers son up. He is being allowed to cut his teeth with this horse which will ensure the horse does not end up in the history books.

He will be a ridiculously short price at Aintree and no price to take without a top hurdles jockey up.

probably be given Nicholls job soon and then multiple champion jock as soon as AP retires.

If that isn't good enough for you, then nothing is

I dont think he has it over hurdles. He can only improve with maturity but the point is that it is costing this horse and its owners not having an experienced hurdles jockey up in Graded races where a cool head and tactical nouse are what makes the difference.

6/1 for next year is outstanding and I'm already loaded. Has the beating of all older horses and cannot see a youngster who will trouble with Annie probably going over the bigger stuff. Didn't think he did a lot wrong in the Champion. All about destiny. Have same discussion next year and you'll be calling him the Messiah.

Is he staying hurdling?

Destiny is the jockey has and will continue to cost the owners and punters fortunes on this immensely talented horse in the highest grade where pilot experience counts. Only difference is that now the previous non believing punters are going to be on him he is going to be a much shorter price wherever he runs but will have the same handicap.

I saw the owner a lady interviewed saying she left it all to Nigel which means things wont change and I got the impression the lady doesnt realise how good this horse is and that she wont own another again with this ability. An owner with more knowledge would be rattling their sabre by now imo.

On fencing he may be switched as it would be more suited to the jockeys abilities and I doubt they want much more egg on their faces over hurdles.

For me this venture will fail as the horse does not have the conformation or quick enough reactions at obstacles.

Either way hurdles or fences I think this horse will be very costly to follow now.

Hugely frustrating for antepost punters who spot brilliant animals like this early on who are with the wrong connections to benefit from them. The Neptune was a highlight though.

So you are blaming Sam for the fall of Our Conor? Apart from getting knocked back 10 lengths what did he do wrong. Yes he made a mistake at the last at Kempton as well but horses make mistakes under pressure. Dicky Johnson would have been slated if Fingal Bay had got beaten a short head yesterday for the mistake at the last but it is often the horse that causes the mistake, not the rider. Sam Twiston Davies has jocked off several good riders for the Big Bucks ride and Paul Nicholls can get just about anyone he wants. It was not rider error that led to an eleven year old losing his brilliance.

Reread the first post where I stated clearly the word unlucky then try again to not deliberately ignore the point being made.

10 lengths now... wow. regardless of who is on the TNO he will always get out paced, hope he does stay hurdling next year, means I can back Vatour in the Arkle knowing his main danger is wasting another year over hurdles.
