Not sure about Felix Yonger but his effort to manipulate the Champion Hurdle field completely backfired.

There's only one champion hurdle. Irrespective of what Annie Power does in the less prestigious world hurdle Mr Ricci will always wonder what if? They said Jezki wasn't fast enough. He was today.

Was trying to protect Hurricane Flys legacy by not running UDS today,
Don't know how his owners put up with him, particularly UDS owner. |

Wouldn't agree that Felix Yonger should have been in the Arkle - he had the winner in Champagne Fever had he campaigned him properly. Not run since Christmas and started him of 2m 4f. Horse was poorly prepared.
Doubt I'll see a better display of jumping this week either. |

CF ran a blinder; he pulled well clear of all his chief rivals.
No point in dwelling on the UDS / Annie Power race argument all over again. Jezki is the new champ; I doubt he'll ever get the proper credit he deserves, but time to move on. If Annie hoses up in the WH, I'm sure Willie won't regret not running in the Champion. |

I'm sure Willie won't. He'll get paid. I was wondering whether Ricci will regret the missed chance of throwing his hat into the big ring. He's got enough money. He hasn't got the champion hurdler and neither has Mullins.
