Just had my first NRFB applied and can't believe you lose your stake as part of the promo. I can understand a money back scenario on a match (if a certain player scored) or a race (where eg you were beaten by a short head) but when you've deposited and not got a run it seems unfair that your stake is lost? Not specifically mentioned in NRFB T&Cs, just that monies are received in 'promo cash'. Promo cash explained somewhere else on site. Either way it takes the gloss off the NRFB Chelt offer for me. That 10/1 you want is effectively 9/1 now as your stake is taken away!    Bit sneaky in the NRFB scenario methinks. Thoughts? Best o luck this week all.

I'd be interested to know whether the Gambling Commission are going to look into the way that this type of offer is advertised. Many have banded around the phrase "Non Runner No Bet" or "NRNB" which quite simply isn't true if you are effectively losing your stake.

Just seems wrong to me that your stake is lost in the NRFB scenario Glossy.

Can't believe I'm still up on Christmas eve!!

It's the best Cheltenham offer anyone has ever done, if you bet with any other bookie you would of lost the stake and got nothing in return. I only played Ant Post this year because of this offer which means I have great bets like Briar HIll 12/1 Faugheen 16/1 Rock On Ruby 16/1 Ballycasey  25/1 etc and the ones that didn't make it my account is filled with free bets instead of **** all. Plus BV Ante Post prices have been very competitive throughout this year and last, hope they do it next year!

Echo all that foolsgold, its a godsend for a smaller punter such as myself.
And all my Tuesday refunds were in my account last night which I was not expecting.

Think your missin my point foolsgold. I've no issue with the offer. I played ante post far more than usual because of it. Agree prices were competitive, as they should be. My issue is that you lose your stake in the free bet, which effectively makes the prices less competitive. Not too much to expect the money you've deposited for the bet back also. Bet V retain your custom as part of the promo which should be enough in this ultra competitive time. They should be applauded for the NRFB initiative but taking your stake is wrong. Make it clear in the T&Cs and I've no prob. Each to their own and if your happy with it great but I'm not. You're sittin on some great ante post vouchers there foolsgold! Best o luck.

I won,t be taking them up on this offer next year, I was expecting my stake back seen as the value has been strangled out of every market, by the time I get the free bet back.....

Just on the phone arguing.  Terms say max £50 per horse.  I backed FY and the topped up for the Arkle and they are only sending promo cash for first bet.  The terms say you can't bet a horse for 2 races but not 2 bets on the same race.  Will let you know awaiting a call back from the manager.

Think the promo is a bit crap myself now actually...

Just spoke to the manager and they are sorting this problem out and will credit all bets.  Very good service.

gazovic nrnb I get my money back and can withdraw if I like.... when I signed up for nrfb I realised my money would stay within bv to reuse with them, but did not realise they would keep my money....
Report Fortune March 11, 2014 9:35 AM GMT
That's exactly my point Alleged. They keep your custom you keep the stake. (your stake)
Report jasey March 11, 2014 9:43 AM GMT
I would rather have a chance of making some with promo cash than losing alltogether.
I backed Salsify ante post and wish i had gone with Vic  instead of going for bigger price.
Report shockster March 11, 2014 9:43 AM GMT
Well I have to give a thumbs up to BV.  Got some great prices and free bets for the ones that didn't make it.

Don't really understand this complaint. Obviously was going to be returned as a free bet. It's called Non-Runner FREE BET.

Free bet stakes are never returned. And if it wasn't clear enough from the name it was easy enough to read the Ts & Cs. There was a big asterix with a link to the Ts & Cs.

It's an absolutely superb offer, I'm either sitting here with lovely vouchers or free bets for all my anteposts. And it's not like you have to use it in the same race either!

So if you backed Annie Power for The Champion Hurdle and now you don't think there's any value left then use it in a handicap. Tony Star and Attaglance are looking big prices in the last.

^^^ agree Laugh

they are refunding in cash as a gesture of goodwill, not because you were right to complain.
Report Leonardo March 12, 2014 12:06 PM GMT
