The most exciting four days of jumps racing is almost here and we're Non-Runner Money Back on the four championship races. With 27 thrilling races at the headquarters of National Hunt racing to look forward to, who will become this year's heroes?
William Hill are meant to be a big bookmaker and they are offering NRNB on just 4 of the 27 races at Cheltenham?????
so the people betting on the Supreme, Arkle, Neptune, RSA, Triumph and any other race you can think of will not be getting refunded if their horse is declared as a non runner.
They will argue they offer best prices in return and this would be credible, but if you are going bareback then surely you do that on exchange.
Mug money imo

There's plenty of NRNB available if you want that. Rather have a few firms that stay with bigger prices and antepost.
Firms going NRNB too early and slashing prices across the board has ruined antepost betting, so got no issues with Hills doing this.

Hors La Loi III Supreme 9/1 (SP 9/2), Call Equiname Captain 11/1 (SP7/2) & Chris Arkle 16/1 (SP 6/1) are three off the top of my head I can think of where I worked out the best race for the horse well before the trainer announced. Of course it can work against for instance when Twiston-Davies stupidly took Beau out of the Sun alliance Chase and put him in a handicap.

They should be ashamed but then again they have no shame! Saying all that some of the bookies offering nr/nb may as well not be! I went to place a bet on Artic Fire for the County at 10's and was offered £7.78?????? How do they come up with that figure? Jokers!

they do offer money back if your horse finishes second in any race (think this is for mobile app bets). It would be pretty boring if all bookies offered the same deal. It's called choice. Shop around imo

I think the money back for being second is just a one race deal though, isn't it? If you're second in the Supreme don't expect a similar refund for being second in the Arkle.

Out of interest is this when you try and get a bet on and you get the spinning wheel whilst it is refered to a trader? I've had this a few times and sometimes get offered a smaller amount and then I have to have the rest on at SP or with another bookmaker. It's not brilliant but better than VC or SportingBet who closed my accounts!

It is but they may as well as close my account then offer me that! Considering Hills aren't offering NR/NB their prices aren't anything to shout about! I'd rather be bored by the offers, firms like Baldie Fred, Stan Shames, Skybet aren't worth bothering with joke firms.

No fan of Hills, but agree, it's good to see a firm going with higher prices without the safety net of NRNB. Personally surprised Hills are the only one doing this. I got 12-1 Killultagh Vic a couple of days ago when he was top price 8's everywhere else.
Good for punters IMO.
