So it seems we have an official statement. If there is "any chance" of the ground becoming good the lunatic Claisse will water to ensure it remains good-soft
Personally, I think it's disgusting. Watering was introduced to keep conditions safe, and that's all it should be used for. I'm not sure what the motivation for this policy is - maybe to ensure the Irish keep coming in big numbers, but it's completely unfair to good-ground horses who are guaranteed to never have a chance.

Good point - the stats boy keep saying the NH bred horses have the upper hand lately and this is probably why.
However, Claisses GOOD/Soft and someone elses is a world away - his ego will say GS even when it is running faster than that just so he looks like a good greenkeeper.

The person saying the 'taps will be turned on!!!' I would suggest has his tongue firmly in cheek (given Claisse's apparent fondness for a hosepipe). Certainly not an official statement.

There will more then likely be a hosepipe ban around Gloucestershire with the amount of H2O big Si will be slinging on the track
