jm.....even though it's no more than 60 miles, there's no way you can watch the last race on the Wednesday (5.15?) and expect to be back at B'ham airport by 6.45PM. If you bail out after the 6th race, you should get get out of the car park easily enough but even then it will be past 5.00PM before you are properly under way. Need to consider normal rush hour traffic on the motorways too - M42 can get very busy at this time of the day.

It would have been great to see the Bumper but it sounds like it would be stupid to try.
Many thanks for the advice FF. |

I wouldn't want to be guaranteeing you making your flight even then.
Plenty will leave the course after the 6th and you are driving straight into the Cheltenham, then Worcester, then Birmingham rush hours. Unfortunately your flight is very badly timed. |

I think FF has put it about right. Stay and celebrate on Wed night. Go home at your leisure on Thurs am.

Getting away from Cheltenham, M5 roadworks & dropping a car off, I would say will take the best part of 2 hours.

Fair point chewy.....there's a 50mph section (average speed cameras) from Worcester North all the way through to the M42 at the moment. In the car by 5.00PM, airport by 6.45PM.....nearly 2 hours!
