A long shot but..... Mullins still believes dual Champion Hurdle winner Hurricane Fly is still the one to beat but did not completely rule out Un De Sceaux from taking his chances in race. (today Racing Post)

They must be mad.
The way he galloped and splashed through the Gowran bog was amazing. After the last Ruby spends his time looking round and tries easing him down, but the horse has none of it and powers onto the line. looking fresher at the line, than during the last mile. He could be at his peak this year. Go for it. |

I've often defended WPM, but think he's lost the plot this year. Wouldn't be surprised if some owners are really p1ssed off with what he's up to.

Was at Leeds preview evening last night and Donn McClean said was unlikely to run but Willie has changed his mind before and he hadn't expected to see UDS in yesterdays decs.

If the horse was in any other stable it would be a certain runner. If it was owned by Ricci it would be a runner. Annie Power had an alternative race.
Problem is as I said on the other thread Willie has made a complete bungle by ruling him out. Captain Cee Bee now added to prevent the dawdle and if Un De Sceaux did run chances are he would be taken on rather than having the easiest lead in Champion Hurdle history. Could obviously be a long-term bungle as well if Hurricane Fly is turned over this year and Un De Sceaux is not even around next year. |

I'm going to get my money back on UDS but very wrong to the owner what Mullins is doing. Ruby I'm sure has influenced this as well as he's a selfish g1t when it comes to these things.
