Festival storylines will be dominated by Quevega, Hurricane Fly, Big Buck's, Annie Power and the stars of tomorrow but I think this fellow deserves a thread of his own.

This will be his 6th Festival appearance, after winning the Triumph Hurdle in 2008, he finished second, fourth and, er, ninth in three of the next four Champion Hurdles missing the Festival in 2011. Superb effort in finishing second in last year's World Hurdle and has won 2 graded long distance hurdle races since then.

Before all that he finished seventh in the 2007 St Leger but only beaten just over 3 lengths as a 66/1 shot, he was also 3rd behind Soldier of Fortune in the Chester Vase that year.

Now that Fair Along (RIP) is no longer a standing dish, Celestial Halo will be cheered on as my Festival stalwart/unsung hero this year....has an ew chance and I bet he runs a really good race.

Here here, cracking horse. And I think rather over-priced at the moment, given the number of doubtful stayers in the field.
My only concern about backing him for a place would be whether there might be some team tactics with the stewart horses. I think if they were mine, I'd be tempted to tell the jockey on CH to kick on from some way out and make it a real test so that BB doesn't have to do the donkey work.

I'm also a big fan of this horse and will be backing him. His run behind Solwhit last year was corking and he's not done a lot wrong this season other than failing to slog through the mud last time. Definite place claims and surely too good to be used as a pacemaker.

Yeh,love these horses that just keep going year after year, and hes a real consistent one as well.
Hes sure to run a good race again, and wont be far away imo.
