Been looking through some of the handicap hurldes and this one appeals to me.  Excellent run in the Betfair, finishing second, just one and a half lengths behind Splash of Ginge, giving him a decent amount of weight in the mud.  He was 15/2 second fav that day, so he was no unfancied back number.

We have learnt today the Splash of Ginge (who was beaten 7 lengths by Irving getting 3lbs) is going for the Supreme, so obviously must be a classy animal.  Dell' Arca is also in the Supreme, but can see him in one of the handicaps, as I think 141 is a very workable mark, just up 5lbs for his Betfair run.  Plus they have The Liquidator for the Supreme.

He has won the Greatwood, and was going well when being hampered by Recession Proof's fall in the Ladbroke and forced him to unseat.  So he has contested probably the three toughest handicap hurdles of the year, and performed with great credit in all of them.

The Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle or one of the handicaps at the Festival beckon for Dell' Arca while Swing Bowler could take on Quevega in the OLBG Mares' Hurdle or run in the County Hurdle.

"Dell' Arca proved himself a tip-top performer here, failing by only one and three-quarter lengths to concede 9lb to the winner Splash Of Ginge despite taking a knock three from home," the Nicholashayne handler told www.davidpipe.com.

"He has an entry in the Sky Bet Supreme Novices' hurdle at next month's Festival although he will also receive entries in all the handicaps around this sort of trip.

He is entered in the Coral Cup as well and the Martin Pipe, but I'd say the County may be the target.  Tom Scu has rode him in all of his races so far, so I think he'll want to stay on him, and Pipe has hinted at staying around the 2m mark.

Not particularly orgininal I know, because he is near the head of the market in all three races above, but 14/1 NRNB with 365 for the County is worth a poke imo.

He fits somes some of the stats from Easygame's excellent write ups

https://sites.google.com/site/gaultstats/Home/friday/vincent-o-brien-county-handicap-hurdle-race-2m-abt-1f

He is a 5 year old (8 of the last 15 winners were five from 22% of the runners), was placed in the Betfair Hurdle, he's had three runs this season, he's rated between 128 and 144, and if Captain Cee Bee or Diakali stay in, he'll carry less than 11st.

Any thoughts?

I like the horse but I feel that he has had his big handicap win in the Greatwood. I think he could well place but I would be surprised if something else was not better handicapped.

I like Cheltenian, who for me will improve for a return to Cheltenham and hopefully some better ground. He was right up there with Dell' Arca in the Betfair before tiring on the bad ground. If you forget his Supreme run last year, which was his 2nd run over hurdles, his form is very solid!
