have slung a few quid his way on here a few weeks ago ,would nt be the biggest surprise !

No. As you've seen in that other plonker's thread I've backed him. Would love to think so. Was travelling when falling 4 out in the Champion last year. Christ I've talked myself into it, COME ON BARRY!!!!!!!

Professional Loser. Loads of ability but loves to find a way to get beat.
By:
Decent ground would be helpfull
By:
i'll be chucking a pony ew away on him, had a decent ew bet on him in last years champion, absolutely cruising before going arse over head at the top of the hill
By:
I am hoping he gets round
By:
It wouldn't be the biggest shock if he won. He does have high class hurdles form and his run last time out was way below his best. He also has more exp than the favourite for the race, Champagne Fever.

The only way Grandouet can win an arkle is if Chuck Norris got on his back.
In all seriousness I've always had a soft spot for him but he's just to frustrating. The type of horse that you could give him a mile head start and he would still fall at the last. |
By:
I've come to the conclusion this is just another hype horse overrated over hurdles and fences. Bridle horse with no balls, even though I backed this and West Wizard when Barry G was talking about them like they were gonna be superstars.
By:
I am dissapointed in myself for backing him, dunno why i thought he would be different over fences.
By:
When I saw the headline to this thread I presumed I would read that they had rerouted him to Blackpool beach.
Didn't expect to read people still believing this maiden might win the Arkle. |

^^^ hahaha brilliant. well done!

Good shout Howdi im on him and ROR both @ 16/1 ....also still cant get my head round Oscar whisky still being 10 with the magic sign also got him with Taquin De S
Rock on ruby will @ best be 9/2 on the day Granouet will go off 8's @ best and oscar whisky will be 6's @ best also Taquin DS could be 1 of the gambles ov the meeting and go off 5's @ best singles and 4 x eway doubles safely tucked away ![]() |
By:
^^ Abbey hello mate why do you think TDS will go off 5s? Oscar whisky may be the trade off at the meeting at 10s cant see him going off at that price. Markets in many cases still to catch fire
By:
A big player on decent ground. Rewatched the Henry VII chase and it looked like a very good novice race. He also looked like the hill would actually help now. Massively overpriced at 16-1. Could be single figures on the day.

Hi Howdi... OSCAR WHISKY is the class horse in the race mate and his form linked with TDS is as good as anything in the race he LOVES Cheltenham and has jumped round twice and done well in 2 races that were not suited to him all that factored in I am truly STUNNED that he is still available @ 10/1 and im certain that once NH gives him a good word and punters get stuck into the race they will also see that he is outstanding value at the current price and he will get smashed up as will Grandoeut who is also outstanding value @ 16/1 at the moment can see the arkle cutting up bad and wouldent be suprised if only 7/8 run ... odds of 10/1 and 14/1 for both is cracking value ...good luck and have a fab cheltenham ..Off to bangor now !1

Quote from Andrew Tinkler last night.
Grandouet. "After the way he schooled this morning if he ran in a jumpers bumper he would fall" From Twitter |
By:
Don't believe that. If he wrote that he'd never get another ride on a Henderson horse again.
By:
Also, Andrew Tinkler would do a good job of putting the best jumpers in the game on the floor in a bumper. Never forget the ride he gave Finian's Rainbow at Warwick before Cheltenham a few seasons back. Horse looked like it had never seen a fence before. A few weeks later, Barry took over, he jumped like a buck, and should have won the Arkle.

By:
I think it was the tactics that day, the instructions he was given. But i'd be very surprised if he said something like the post below on Twitter.
By:
Giggsy, It wasn't written. It's come from a preview evening "allegedly".
By:
I'd say its lies. Plus BG was on ATR taking bout his festival mounts and he said Grounduet schooled well that morning and that Hendo is pretty upbeat about his chances.
By:
Yet again with this stable, the market tells the story. Horse been uneasy for last couple of hours and is now out to 16.5. only for it to transpire that NJH has reported that he did not work well at Kempton on Friday.
By:
Seems to have come in for some support now. 14.0 on here.

Grandoeut has lots of ability and one day he will pop up somewhere at a big price, but I doubt it will be this day. And tbh when it happens, you can probably afford to lose.
I'm all over Oscar Whiskey at 10's Howdi. Can definitely see a trade but not sure I want out unless he goes under 5s, I've got some on EW to cover stakes. Does have a bit to find with Wonderful Charm though. |
