Money for his other one Valseur Lido. All prices from 25.0 down to 18.5 gone this afternoon.

And Wicklow
Report ACStafford February 25, 2014 4:25 PM GMT
Wicklow Brave has shortened slightly with some books today too. Something isn't quite right.
Report Roger The Butler February 25, 2014 4:25 PM GMT
More alarming if you have backed Vautour is that Mullins' Wicklow Brave is blue across the board on Oddschecker for the race.
Report Roger The Butler February 25, 2014 4:26 PM GMT
ACStafford just beat me by a short-head.
Report Ballydoyle February 25, 2014 4:26 PM GMT
Cheerio Vautour me thinks...
Report Ballydoyle February 25, 2014 4:27 PM GMT
Stewards....I clearly won that by a neck lol

Vautour was matched at 25 today
Report Ballydoyle February 25, 2014 4:28 PM GMT
I'm sure Willie will keep us all updated
Report FOYLESWAR February 25, 2014 4:29 PM GMT
watch the price of faugheen !
Report Ballydoyle February 25, 2014 4:30 PM GMT
Someone wanting to lay 360 at 5...
Report Ballydoyle February 25, 2014 4:31 PM GMT
Why Faugheen?
Report Graeme83 February 25, 2014 4:34 PM GMT
Maybe one could have done better home work than the other ?
Report Roger The Butler February 25, 2014 4:34 PM GMT
I guess because Mullins could just be shuffling his pack. It may be that Vautour isn't injured but heading for the Neptune, which would push Faugheen to the Albert Bartlett?
Report wellchief February 25, 2014 4:36 PM GMT
Backed Vautour at 6's but manage to lay off at 9/2 today.  Just glad to get rid of my stake, and will be happy to reinvest it back on him on NRNB if all is well nearer the time.
Report FOYLESWAR February 25, 2014 4:36 PM GMT
why faugheen ? 160 down to 34 according to another forum !may be nothing !
Report The Sawyer February 25, 2014 4:37 PM GMT
Roj

Last price matched for Neptune was 400
Report Roger The Butler February 25, 2014 4:40 PM GMT
Fair enough. Am on Faugheen so hope it isn't a reshuffle.
Report Ballydoyle February 25, 2014 4:44 PM GMT
Vautour is 90s for Neptune and pennies shifts things from 160 to 34 on here...would say the dosh for Wicklow is revealing.
Report Roger The Butler February 25, 2014 4:51 PM GMT
Yes the Wicklow money looks significant.
Report buddeliea February 25, 2014 6:59 PM GMT
What price was Vatour before Irving got backed after Saturday??
Report Quvega February 25, 2014 7:03 PM GMT
Was shifting between 3.85 and 4.1/4.2 mostly I think Budd.
Report wellchief February 25, 2014 7:04 PM GMT
On 21st and 22nd Feb he was a general 11/4 and 5/2 fav with the bookies.  Don't know what price he was on here though.
Report buddeliea February 25, 2014 7:29 PM GMT
Market forces would have pushed him out a tad after Irving cut,i would think.
I don't think Vatour backers should be too worried at this stage.
Report wellchief February 25, 2014 7:44 PM GMT
Have to admit that although I don't think Irving really beat anything at the weekend, he did look to have that bit of star quality about him.  Vautour is a huge danger if he does turn up (I really hope he does), but I don't know if Vautour will have the gears.

Can't possibly go in on Irving now at his current price, but he looks the most likely winner, but favourites have a dreadful record in this (only five have obliged since 1970).
Report Tory February 25, 2014 7:52 PM GMT
Irving looks a flat track horse and as I've said before, ex flat horses have a hideous record in this the last 6yrs
Report Ballydoyle February 25, 2014 7:56 PM GMT
Irving my arse. Won possibly the worst trial you can get for a supreme and is an Aintree horse all day long
Report GI MAC February 25, 2014 8:16 PM GMT
I've seen nothing to suggest he's an Aintree horse, he handled Ascot well enough which is a  testing track. Just cause he has speed doesn't mean he needs a flat track.

One thing people have overlooked is the fact he has not run LH yet in the UK, even before he got here he ran mostly on RH courses. Might be significant.
Report foolsgold123 February 25, 2014 8:23 PM GMT
Ruby probably told someone he's going to ride Wicklow Brave instead of this one.

*This being Irvine.
Report paulie wallnuts February 25, 2014 9:46 PM GMT
Paul Nicholls wouldn't know his arrse from a hole in the ground.....even his owners don't rate him as any kind of a judge.....take heed....
Report wellchief February 25, 2014 10:13 PM GMT
Bally, it's a pretty dangerous to dismiss Iriving as a flat track horse without ever seeing him at HQ.  Just because he has ran well on flat tracks, it does not mean he will automatically be poor on one like Cheltenham.
Report cufcno1 February 25, 2014 10:13 PM GMT
vatour stinking even more !
Report Ballydoyle February 25, 2014 10:33 PM GMT
Sorry, just don't rate Irving or who he has beat I'm afraid.

Report Money Tree cost me thousands!! February 25, 2014 11:23 PM GMT
Irvine place cert.
Report Glossy February 25, 2014 11:27 PM GMT
Irving is a speed horse who will continue to thrive at tracks like Kempton. Whether he stays well enough to win a race like the Supreme is another matter entirely.
Report Howdi February 25, 2014 11:29 PM GMT
SUPREME FAVS FECKING SHOCKING RECORD, NEPTUNE FAVS DO MILES BETTERPlain
Report marychain1 February 25, 2014 11:57 PM GMT
I'm all for using trends to find winners, but one I have never understood is looking at the past record of favourites in any given race. I can see that there is a logical reason why horses that have won last time out may perform well, or horses that are of a certain age, or that carry a certain weight, or even horses that have won (or run in) A.N. other race that may tie in to the one being examined.

But the past performance of market principles gives no more logical guidance to what's going to win this year's race than the last ten tosses of a coin give to the next toss.
Report Howdi February 26, 2014 12:02 AM GMT
choose yr own tTongue Outrends then ^^^^
Report nostaw_01 February 26, 2014 12:23 AM GMT
Wicklow Brave now shorter than Vautour on here. Ruby picked his mount? Surely if it was issues with Vautour his price would have drifted more alarmingly than it has
Report duffy February 26, 2014 12:34 AM GMT
No way Walsh would have picked Vautour over WB for me, not after the defeat of TTT....he isn't shorter by the way.
Report duffy February 26, 2014 12:34 AM GMT
picked WB over Vautour that should be of courseSilly
Report nostaw_01 February 26, 2014 12:44 AM GMT
For about ten minutes there he was 1/10th of a point shorter :)

Didn't last long
Report ACStafford February 26, 2014 2:09 AM GMT
There doesn't look all that much in their form to me. Vautour got a soft lead under a master tactician last time out. If I got first choice to ride one of the pair, I'd be flipping a coin.
Report buddeliea February 26, 2014 7:38 AM GMT
Seems to be some serious straw clutching at the Fav on here.

Done absolutely nothing wrong.

Oh, and stick ya trends up ya ****!!!

Report Ballydoyle February 26, 2014 12:34 PM GMT
Irving will run out of gas up the hill as the stayers keep going...
Report buddeliea February 26, 2014 12:39 PM GMT
Maybe.....but then again.....maybe not.
Hes done nowt but impress me though.

Cant really be much bigger odds, can he??
Report sintonian February 26, 2014 2:20 PM GMT
Same comments used to be made about Hurricane Fly before he got injured before the Supreme. ''He's all speed''

Fact is, until you've seen the horse run at Cheltenham people are just guessing about the hill, and trying to find a reason not to bet him because his price is short. Typical punter mindset really. There are a long list of horses in recent years who got labelled flat track specialists, Sprinter Sacre & Our Conor the two most recent.
Report paulie wallnuts February 26, 2014 4:00 PM GMT
who labelled our conor a flat track specialist?........just yourself I'd hav thought......
Report duffy February 26, 2014 4:10 PM GMT
Strictly on form he's not entitled to be shorter than vautour, his popularity is down to visual impression more than the quality of what he's beat
Report sintonian February 26, 2014 5:25 PM GMT
Lol Paulie NoNutts. Is there anyone you haven't been rude to yet?
Report buddeliea February 26, 2014 6:17 PM GMT
And quiet a visual impression hes given us.
Not sure who should be fav, hard to say with no form to go on with both horses involved.
Report the istabraq years February 26, 2014 10:10 PM GMT
To say its the silly season on here is an understatement, panic stationssssssss.

Its been the same for as many years as I can remember on the run up to the meeting. people posting everytime a horse drifts..its out to 5.5, must be out then !!!!!!!!!!.

Im sure this ,if you dig a little deeper is purely down to Wicklow brave getting a solid word from people connected to the mullins hard on one of the preview nights this week.

RELAX else you wont even make the tapes going up.
Report the istabraq years February 26, 2014 10:12 PM GMT
ps its laughable how because irving has won at taunton, ascot and Kempton he is a flat track bully, all speed and no stamina. If you look his flat form alone he s stayed on to beat kasbash bliss , winning over 1m 5f plus and nicholls commenting pre xmas he would stay the Neptune trip.
Report Ballydoyle February 26, 2014 10:57 PM GMT
To be fair Istabraq...Vautour was matched at 25s on Monday
Report buddeliea February 27, 2014 7:41 AM GMT
Istabraq,Bang on mate.
Its fairly normal for a fav to be knocked if he aint been backed.
The horse has impressed every run for me,and looks like he will be fine at Cheltenham.
Why would he not be??
Report buddeliea February 27, 2014 7:57 AM GMT
25?? Bl00dy hell, wish I had seen that!!

I must go sick from work more often this time of year!!!!

According to someone on twitter who seems to know Patrick Mullins (you never know but he seemed legit) they're all baffled by the massive drift the other day. Said the horse was in its box with not a bother on it and all is fine. Did also say however that champagne fever hasn't been showing them what he can do
