First it was Simonsig, then Sprinter Sacre... seems Hendersons a bit jinxed this season with some of his top horses in the CH, but there is still a string to his bow in CAPTAIN CONAN.

Was beaten buy Sire De Grugy lto, but was seasonal appearance.... but did beat the horse 2 seasons back... i think CC is quite quirky... but put in a good round of jumping can see him run a really big race at Cheltenham.

I already backed him at 12s yesterday, so happy there... hopefully will turn up!

Simonsig, was 2nd favourite earlier in the season... anyway, 6/1 may look poor but same could be said about Beneficient, Al Ferof, and Avrika... I would have Captain Conan above these three... I think he will shorten to the 7/2 mark... I think Ryanair is a better alternative for Al Ferof... theyll be foolish to run him in this... as for Beneficiant, I dont think he is Champion Chase material I think just below... for me it has to be Captain Conan as a viable challenger.

If you are looking for bigger odds... Id have a few quid on Special Tiara each way at 25s especially if Sizing Europe goes to Ryanair, as trainer knows what it takes to win a race like this.

Funnily enough I've been looking at Special Tiara. Was on at 33s when it won the Maghull last year, seems to have had better results on good ground so if it improves...looked like he hadn't really grown into his size last year. If he's strengthened could he lead them all a merry dance for the front, or just set it up for a stayer?

Why hasn't he ran since being stuffed by Sire De Grugy? I like to see proof that a second season chaser has improved since his novice year, but Conan hasn't had a chance to show if he has or not. Even if you like the horse, you'd have to admit his preparation doesn't inspire confidence. 7/1 looks poor value imo.

Couldn't back anything of Henderson's at the minute.
