Does anyone have strong views on which horses will definitely switch from the Ryan Air to the Champion Chase and which will now definitely run in the Ryan Air? I had a couple I fancied but I haven't read enough on running plans.
Pause Switch to Standard View Ryan Air now SS is out...

Hobbs has said he has Menorah for Ryanair so would seem fairly certain to run and start at single figures imo.
Report buddeliea February 24, 2014 8:00 AM GMT
Benefficient and Baily Green I think will now run in Champion Chase.
Report ACStafford February 24, 2014 9:08 AM GMT
I think you're right unfortunately Budd, which is a shame as I've backed them both for the Ryanair.

I just can't stop putting money on Al Ferof for the Ryanair the 5/1 NRNB looks a great e/w bet with B365.
Report ThunderRoad February 24, 2014 10:18 AM GMT
Wishfull Thinking @ 20/1 and Dynaste @ 7/1 look the bets.
Report foolsgold123 February 24, 2014 10:32 AM GMT
Just gut feeling Al Ferof will come good in March beak horse in the race if hits it's peak.
Report Ballydoyle February 24, 2014 10:34 AM GMT
I've backed Al Ferof for Ryanair but also for the Champ Chase and would love him to go for the latter. Bounce out and make the running One Man style

Please not Champion Chase all my eggs are in the Ryanair basket I managed to dodge the Gold Cup bullet and managed to get 20/1 Al Ferof Ryanair just before Christmas.
Report TYSON 2 February 24, 2014 11:43 AM GMT
Wish I'd dodged thegold cup bullet- did my brains on him! must be ryanair surely?

Al Ferof going Ryanair

Dynaste....he's one I just couldn't have at all man
Report sc1883 February 25, 2014 7:21 AM GMT
tony martin stated last night will only go cc with benefficent if soft. if good is in the going description most likely to be still the ryanair
Report foolsgold123 February 25, 2014 7:40 AM GMT
Dynaste has let me down too many times, travels like the best horse in most he's races but spits the dummy out and has no battle in him.
Report Markphisto February 26, 2014 11:52 AM GMT
Menorah in (ground permitting) and Wishful Thinking more likely to run Byrne Group H'Cap according to Philip Hobbs in the RP Weekender today. Wishful Thinking least likely to appear in the Ryanair as both horses are in the same ownership (also has Champion Chase entry)

I've backed Menorah eachway at 16/1 and a win bet on Dynaste at 11/2. Not particular fan of yard in Grade 1 chases or the horse but his run at Haydock was very good and I just can't have First Lieutenant in this race, he should be in GC, nor can I have Al Ferof after his two slow runs over 3 miles this year. His Ascot win at the time beating French Opera looked good but im not sure he the horse he was.
Report ACStafford March 1, 2014 11:26 AM GMT
Menorah seems to have become a little quirky over fences. He got himself tailed off very early on in last year's Ryanair, but he is clearly very talented on his day. 16/1 seems a very fair price for him on his best form in the hope that he shows it.
Report ACStafford March 1, 2014 11:34 AM GMT
I rewatched Benefficient's Jewson win last night. I liked they way he got up the hill, but I thought it was a fantastic ride by Cooper. It's a shame that he won't have him on board when it comes to the Ryanair. His one win this season has been the one time he has ridden him. Who will ride him? McCoy?
Report Deise59 March 1, 2014 11:51 AM GMT
Martin said on Thursday in preview on Thurs that Cooper would have the choice but naturally he'll be on a gigginstown runner, so ruby after that then either Davy or Carberry, has no fears in stepping him up next year, Hennessy a possibilty
Report sintonian March 3, 2014 8:14 AM GMT
Benefficient is a confirmed runner.
Report sintonian March 3, 2014 8:15 AM GMT
Just looking back at Al Ferof's last run .. he was beat 25 lengths. Now, prep or not, that's quite dismal. His previous run over 3 miles he was beat 14 lengths and that was a Grade 1. Regressing or not?
Report foolsgold123 March 3, 2014 8:26 AM GMT
I think drop back in trip with good ground we will see a different horse. Best horse in the field if returns to anything like he's best.
Report Ballydoyle March 3, 2014 8:34 AM GMT
I'm on Al Ferof and not confident at all.last run was garbage and think would be best in champ chase. Also on Benefficient and now think same.
Report sintonian March 7, 2014 4:57 PM GMT
Menorah to wear first time cheekpieces.
Report sintonian March 12, 2014 8:33 PM GMT
I see price wise has put up Menorah. Hope he's not jinxed my 16/1. He is 0/13 at the festival so far.
Report marychain1 March 12, 2014 8:47 PM GMT
Radjhani Express has some serious improvement to make to get into contention, but his form in the Paddy Power reads well, and who knows how much he has improved seeing as he's only had that one run this year because of the bad ground. Won at the Festival last year very impressively and can see him being on the premises this time round. I've also taken some of the 33s that was available on Rathlin. My idea of the winner is Benefficient, but I hope one of these two can run close.
