After Vigils race at Leopardstown Sun, 9th Feb, 2014 (1st) it was a good performance and Robbie did the right thing when he dropped him right out as they were going too fast early on. He decided to change tactics when the pace of the race decides. We only have the three bumper horses (also Silver Concorde and Windsor Park) and maybe one of the three might go for the Cheltenham bumper but I doubt this fella will go. We'll make a decision in a couple of weeks but they'll be three nice horses for the Flat as the season progresses and will be dual purpose horses. D K Weld

Has Weld said if there's a plan to race these horses ... Silver Concorde, Vigil, Windsor Park ... over hurdles this season or is he keeping them for the flat?

Last years Bumper isn't working out too good at the moment.
Silver Concorde beaten at 1/3 yesterday, Shaneshill beaten at 4/9 (although to what looks like a very good opponent), Joshua Lane beaten on Boxing Day in a maiden hurdle and Killlutagh Vic firmly put in his place by L'Ami Serge at Ascot.
I'm hoping the good ground will be the key to Shaneshill, and Black Hercules and Vigil entered into a G1 2m4f on 4th Jan with No More Heroes - looks a good race if most stand their gound.

Horse is flat bred and needs decent ground. Whether he has the scope to go on over hurdles is another matter. Both he and Shaneshill will be much improved on better ground.

Anyone know what the plan is for Silver Concorde now please? Decent ground is key to him and if he's still being geared towards the Supreme, I think he could be value.

"I wasn't disappointed with Silver Concorde as it was his first time over hurdles and he is a good ground horse and hasn't ever won on heavy ground. "He'll run again whenever he gets decent ground - it won't be good ground, but he could run next in February."
