Think Felix Yonger in the JLT if it's good to soft or better ground. He jumps like a cat out of good ground.
Think Faugheen & Briar Hill will be hard to beat too as there is no opposition tbh.

I'm on Faugheen at 11.5 and The Tank at 11s and 14s but when The Tullow Tank looms up we have a Grade 3 winner who's never had to battle and not ran since December v double Grade One winner who knows how to fight.

Cue Card to be placed in the Gold Cup, there are simply not 3 horses horses good enough to beat him. I reckon he will be first or second
if you can get near 2/1 for a place that is a fantastic price, will trade shorter than that to win in running let alone in the place market

Cue Card should run in Ryanair as would hose up in that. On soft ground in a Gold Cup I cannot see him in the top 3 whatsoever. Silviniaco Conti just breezed past him at 2m7 mark at Kempton

I could go through all your hundreds of bets and rip holes in them but I don't
I have posted my banker bet on the banker bet thread, I don't need you coming along and telling me where I went wrong before the race is run thanks
I had all that bollox last year, people getting on my case before the races were run
I only made 117% profit on 82 points staked at the Festival
I am telling everyone Cue Card is a knocking bet for a place in the Gold Cup
you can tell me where I went wrong afterwards
this is why I don't post on here anymore. How many times have you seen me rip someones bets?
never mind, leave you to it

Not sure if he is banker material, but I really like Wonderful Charm in the JLT. Apart from Quevega, I don't really see any bankers this year.
With Big Bucks being beatable, Sprinter having well publisied issues, 4 really good ones in the Gold Cup mix, hottest Champion Hurdle for years, a wide open Arkle, no hot pot or previous bumper winner for the Supreme etc etc - basically its as wide open a festival that I can remember for many years!!

Discounting the infamous 'wrong course' race in 2011, Balthazar King's record on the Cross Country course is 11211.
The caveat is the '2' came when there was 'soft' in the ground description.
So, him - he'll be taken out if the ground is unsuitable anyway.
I really wanted to put Quevega but it's not very original!

With all this glorious sunshine maybe not but who knows....i know we've never had a soft ground gold cup so maybe first time ever it could happen?

i agree to be fair pal she has never raced anything any good has she although something normally takes her on at punchestown alsthough solwhit was taken out last year, sad that would have been a great match up

would loved to have see Q run against the Bucks in the past. Do they like the easy prize money fair enough if they do but cant think of anything worse than retiring her and wondering what if

when quevega finally isn't in the mares race anymore they'll have to get rid of it as it will be a total embarrasement.
add all womens sport to that apart from that beach volleyball thingy

My best bets and ones I think have a great chance of place or win Al Ferof Ryanair @ 20/1 Rock on Ruby Arkle @ 20/1 and @ 16/1 Ballycasey RSA @ 25/1 too many to mention! To me Quevega and Sprinter Sacre look bombproof and the more and more I look at the Gold Cup I can't see Bobsworth getting beat.

Same price roughly on HT, all over Rock on Ruby and also praying for freak climate change midweek at Cheltenham!
Great minds etc...

I backed him ages ago on here,so you aint the only ones. Don't mind it being soft, have Sil Conti and Last Instalment as big winners as well, they should be ok on soft.

I dont understand why there's a few more comments on the forums regarding Sprinter Sacre being bomb proof.. He is still recovering from a dodgy heart situation.
I think this presents an interesting comparison with Denman. Denman had lost once in about 16 races including pulverising KS in the GC... then he had same heart problem and the results are there for all to see, simply not the same horse ever again.
I love SS and enjoyed cleaning up last year with him especially thanks to Coral's Evens offer for last year's festival! But i have managed to trade in and out so that if he loses the CC i win but lose nothing if he doesnt... and i am happy with this position because its impossible to ignore heart situation..

I think Wonderful Charms form is very strong, and he should improve for the festival - I've had a nice touch at 12s down to 6s for the JLT.
The New One has to be my banker though, I've spent hours pouring over the CH form and it'll be the first time I've oppossed the fly.
Jezki place lay is my current lay of the meeting.

VAUTOUR Supreme Novice Hurdle - the horse looks so large through the withers he must have a huge heart and lungs, nothing to touch him on Race 1, Day 1, and he is beginning to improve at a rate of knots.
Scared The Tullow Tank over to Neptune to take on Faugheen, which is WM's other huge Novice, so that tells you much.

Al Ferof - Ryanair Cheltenham Horse 2 miles 5 furlongs optimum trip Trained by one of the best to peak on the big day with a great record in the race First Lieutenant looks exposed and was disappointing in the race last year where he lacked the speed at the business end, not convinced by the form or profile of Benefficient, Cue Card looks like running in the Gold Cup, could anyone trust Pipe to produce Dynaste to return to form and peak for the festival - I couldn't, Menorah looks pretty exposed. The key here is that in all liklihood Al Ferof won't have much to beat and will finally be running under his optimum conditions so for those reasons is my strongest fancy. Currently 6/1 could go off 9/4 depending on the opposition
Good luck all.
