Terrific race. Despite only 4 runners that was very exciting and HF showed his battling qualities and that he undoubtedly still retains that electric turn of foot. Very enjoyable.

Twice McCoy won on MTOY this season & twice 'Lord Snooty' tried to big up MTOY. Twice AP said "The Fly is the one to beat". We should all enjoy this horse as I suspect we will not be seeing him next year - At least in the UK (imo). Big up to the Fly

I backed him & had in bets in a accumilator the one flippin' day he flopped @ Cheltenham a few years ago - never again.

Lol. So you are saying he isn't great because he lost you some money once? Flawless logic there.

The debates about "best ever" can wait for now but I can only say that there has never been a better hurdler in Irish conditions. Few have ever got him off the bridle, every tactic known to man has been used to unsettle him, but he remains supreme. Enjoy him while you can, though, given he's been sparingly raced, he's seldom had hard races and he's looking as good as ever, I suspect we could just be seeing him again next season.

Brilliant horse.  Win or lose at this years festival won't change whether he's great or not. That is beyond debate.
