A bit concerned been backing him every week myself.

I saw this but seems to be nothing to me. Sometimes a bot hovers up all the lays for some reason and everyone jumps on the bandwagon believing the horse to be injured. Wouldn't be overly concerned myself.

I have never seen a horse jump so consistently well over hurdles, no wonder he wins so easily, he looks like a hurdling freak.
Just hope he retains that fluency when he returns to hurdles, I would prefer him, on his hurdling technique, to any other horse. Maybe his Flat race pipeopener scared some people, but I don't think you can compare that to his hurdling ability - he's average on the flat, and breathtaking over hurdles. |

He's a very very good horse. My gut feeling is that this was a very good crop of novices and 5 year olds don't tend to win top class renewals of the champion.

Average flat horse or not, i'd expect a potential champion hurdle winner to win a handicap off 86. Run was perfectly fine on paper, but I found the fact they went back to the flat odd in the first place so if you fancy this horse for March i'd wait until he jumps a hurdle next. He may get found out against Jezki/HF + etc.

got feeling quite few ante post slips will be getting ripped up after morgiana cant see beating fly this yr

I'm not sure sint. This was just a stepping stone and in order to get him spot on for the Morgiana as they felt he was only 75% fit.... a race like this would be better than any amount of home work imo. Not saying I think he is up to taking the big boys on, as I have absolutely no idea! But Im not sure HF, Jezki or any of the others would have been a penalty kick in the race, on the same terms and at this stage of the season. That run wouldnt sway me either way tbh.

Some jockey for a million pound animal eh

Strange to announce it now, why not the next day?

Gave them a chance to clear up perhaps, and they didn't as quickly as expected, so given he's now short of work, will miss Morgiana as a sensible precaution.

looking for an excuse to bail out of a hot race imo
they'll just find 2 or 3 diddy hurdle races and meet the older horses for the first time in the champion hurdle you don't want to get your million euro horse's burst in november |

I suspect now is the time that OC fans should be piling in. Doesn't sound overly concerning and you'll probably pick up 7/1 on here.
He's gone from 9/2 to 7/1 while The New One has pretty well reversed that move. But nothing at all's really happened yet! (You really can't take the beating of ROR too seriously). |

Smelling a rat personally. Couldn't touch him with a barge pole.
