I was a big fan of this horse last season and if it wasn't for The New One flying past him up the hill, he'd be a festival winner. Given that The New One (a pure speedster for me) is vying for favouritism for the CH, he did rather well over a trip I think is too short.
He got injured at the back end of last season, but looks to have recovered going by his seasonal debut, a race he won easy enough. Mouse never has his good ones fully wound up for their debuts and he should improve plenty. Trainers description of this horse last season was "a big raw b ugger" so plenty scope to progress and strengthen up for 3miles.
I thought he'd be novice chasing this season, but trainer has confirmed he stays over hurdles, and if you look towards the festival there is only one logical race for him and that's the Stayers. For me he's a standout bet at 20/1 with v!ctorC.
Some might argue next years race will be very competitive, but I'm not so sure after reviewing those at the head of the market: BB is returning from injury so no one knows if he'll return to his best. Last years renewal was average so I don't particularly fear Solwhit. Everyone's expecting Zarkandar to be good over 3miles, but he looked all out to me over 2m4f at Aintree. TNO won't be there and Monklands isn't good enough. That just leaves AFC who is a worthy favourite.
For these reasons (and the fact he's trained by MM) I think 20/1 (NRFB) is great value, he's as low as 14/1 in places. So I've had my first AP bet of the season, which is rather early for me.

Agree with pretty much all of that. 20/1 is a very fair price.
I'm against the majority of the top of the market, although I think there is more to come from Solwhit, and hes being slightly under rated (although a 2 length win past Celestial Halo may point to last years not being a vintage renewal).
RTW is definitely a staying chaser in the making, but nothing wrong with taking the WH along the way!

I think the 20/1 is a massive each way price and looking at the Neptune again last year he certainly looked like a horse who would want further and showed his genuine class to finish 2nd. I still fancy Big Bucks for the race though he was so far ahead of anything else pre injury that even if he comes back with only 3/4 of his ability intact he should still be too good.
Bog Bucks never faced Solwhit though. Speed to win 2 mile top races,and stamina to win top 3m races,bl00dy good combination imo. At Fishers Cross looks pretty tasty as well.

World target for Rule
Trainer Mouse Morris has confirmed Rule The World will head straight for the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at Cheltenham in March following his impressive display at Naas on Saturday.
The seven-year-old chased home leading Champion Hurdle contender The New One in the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle at last year's Festival before suffering a potentially life-threatening pelvic injury at Punchestown in April.

He recovered remarkably quickly, however, making a winning comeback at Naas in October before running with credit in Grade One events at Fairyhouse and Leopardstown.
He looked better than ever when winning last weekend's Limestone Lad Hurdle and Morris believes his charge is capable of making his presence felt at Prestbury Park.

"He's come out of the race well. There's not a bother on him," said the Fethard-based handler.
"It was a good performance on the day. He quickened up nicely and he could do no more than win the way he did, so hopefully he's on the way back.
"Making the running wasn't ideal, but at the same time it will do him no harm. It was good education for him.
"He'll go straight for the World Hurdle now and better ground in Cheltenham should suit him well."
Morris will be keeping a close eye on this Saturday's Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham, with four-times World Hurdle hero Big Buck's due to make his return from over a year on the sidelines with injury.
"We'll see how he runs this weekend. He is obviously the one (to beat). We'll just keep our fingers crossed all goes well with our horse," said Morris.

I’d given up on this bet, but looks like I’ll get a run for my money, sadly he’s a bigger price than when I backed him. He’s a lively outsider at best based on this seasons form, let’s hope Mouse can work his magic.
