Bit of a disappointing card maybe, and perhaps the lack of terrestrial coverage might have something to do with it?
Don't get me wrong, some interesting seasonal debutants on show, but some way below the usual level IMHO.
Always used to be the starting pistol for the NH season. Looks as though that is now the following weekend at Cheltenham, and C4 will be all over that like a rash.

The novice chase is normally a better race than this year is shaping up.
The 3mile handicap chase looks decent though. |

Racecourse expecting 4,500 - 5,000 through the doors.

I think it's a decent card and the 5.45 is cracking race with early pointers to the National. Really looking forward to it.

Bumper looks interesting...won by Regal Encore last season
Minella On Line and Oscarteea well touted and have already had runs but I remember Colin Tizzard eulogizing about Spending Time's home work in a stable tour last season...not sure why they've waited until now to run him but he's still only 4 so looking forward to seeing him too. |
