AP McCoy to ride 300 Winners This Season ?

Think he will deffo retire at 4000.

So you think he will retire around November time??? Personally I don't think so reckon all the while he is champion jockey 5000 will be in sight and be too hard to resist!

I've a feeling he'll retire at 4000.

No way will he retire @ 4000 as he wont be champion jockey 2013/14 Season and he wont want that.....

Don't see McCoy's character meaning that he'll retire at the top at any point. Surely he'll want to wring out every available winner?

billies bet on date of 4000, mid november is midpoint on their quotes. [think its over 17th nov 7/4 something like 12 to 17th 7/4 before 12th nov 13/8]

that's pretty much it gnasher, except its after 16th nov 7/4

overs looks overpriced imo, he's still 31 short, leaves around 5.5 weeks to ride 31 winners

they haven't moved the prices since the day they first came up with the market, yet he's only 2 winners further in, no jump racing in uk today/tomorrow, 1/3 of october will nearly be done by the time that will be added to

add in that jonjo's were flying in the summer but have cooled down a bit last 5/6 weeks and 7/4 looks a fair bet

seems like hills have finally woken up, they're now evens after 16th nov + 9/4 the other two

good day yesterday, 6 rides at cheppers 0 winners so still 28 short of the 400

the work I have done on past rides/strike rate etc suggested he might be around 3996 on nov 17, after an under par start to october for him I have downgraded slightly to 3993, so looking pretty good

btw, sid james have come up with 5/6 up to 200 this season, 5/6 over 200, prices look absolutely bang on imo

2 kids, 4000 in touching distance and a retirement more deserved than any other sportsman I can think of, should be told to end his phenominal career on a happy note.

Only an idiot could deny his greatness.  A happy ending should be demanded and his licence withdrawn.

as st nicholas abbey states, he won't quit on 4,000 as he will want to be champion jockey again. i think he might quit at the end of this season or if he wins the national again and is well clear in the jockey's standings

whatever, happens he has been an absolute phenomenon and shall be greatly missed

Good posts guys and all know how good he is and what enjoyment he has brought to our sport (obviously) the odd clanger but a true gent and different class in his attitude to most sportsman....

Think AP is on 153 now..... I reckon the 300 could be on (Barring injury obviously)a winner a day from now till sandown (plenty of night meetings as well)and another AP moment will be bagged (Any prices knocking about)_

I'm not that big on McCoy. The 'McCoy drive' is a glorified term that's used, when in actuality he's just preserving a horses mark for future handicaps by delivering it late. He's not exactly generous to the punters with information either. I do admire him as a good, tough and dedicated jockey though. I wouldn't miss him or the likes of JP McManus either. These people take plenty out of the game, and get too much praise for it. The same applies to the Pipes and Scudamores of this world.

No chance of 300.

The evening meetings don't start until 16th April, and I think there are only 3 or 4 nights when there is an NH evening meeting before the season ends on 26 April.

Plus, AP is increasingly popping over to Ireland on Sundays to ride JP's good ones, rather than the dross which is served up at UK Sunday meetings, and those Irish winners don't count.

Finally, don't you read the Daily Express? We're just about to have the worst winter since the last Ice Age LOL
