Not sure out for the season they say... so i guess that's the end of him as i am a firm believer that they NEVER come back after a season or more off, followed racing for 40 Years and a old guy told me that years ago when i was a kid and i can say that he was right also said that if they don't run as a 2 year there also no good .......... Cant name them but there's no more than a handful that have returned after a year off or unraced that have ever been top class or a graded NH racehorse

Willie Mullins: "Pont Alexandre picked up an injury. The way things are looking he will be out for this season."

Thats all that was said

Yes - Injury not defined and comment re prognosis seems somewhat ambivalent!
I am surprised that the racing press have not sought any further details or even referred to the matter at all since that reported statement by WM.
The silence is deafening!

invictus is one returning from an injury that i am monitoring, but i agree with St Nicholas Abbey in that very few come back. Monsignor (not at all, sadly), Barton (had his moments, but never the same), Nick Dundee, Trabolgan and numerous others

Stable response to enquiry - "Pont Alexandre is lame and will need the season to recover but the prognosis is good."
Still dont know the nature of the injury!

Did Nick Dundee comeback?

Hi Howdi, Yeah Nick Dundee came back but then didn't last long before he went again.  With hindsight I don't think anybody can say Nick Dundee would have beaten Looks Like Trouble in the RSA when he fell as LLT was absolutely top class and nobody new it at the time.

Barnbrook Again came back better than ever and won a Champion Chase.
