my friends and and i used these companies mobile services at the festival all 4 days here is my views on how they worked.if anyone used other companies or has comments about mobile usage from the 4 days please respond.

firstly i will divide the festival into first 3 days and gold cup day(as this was chaos).

first 3 days.

BETFAIR - 7/10

passable ,could usually get a bet on, sometimes straight away, other times had to try 3/4 times .its a bit long winded too many pages to navigate  to get where you want to go and with betfairs mobile you always get the buffering circle after each new page so more chances of freezing or losing connection.expected befairs to be the best as they are the internet leaders but sadly they were not.

free65 - 10/10

quick ,fast ,simple to use, always got logged on ,never froze, never had to try again, clearly had more band width per customer, but with their 4/1 or more back a winner get a free bet in next race offer must have been busy but no problems whatsoever.

koral - dont think you can bet by mobile or internet with them so no score (non runner)

hahahaha pmsl ,never ever got a connection ,only ever got to home page then frooze ,site not even available for most of festival, give it up

gold cup day

betfair 1/10(i got on before racing i suppose thats something)

after 1pm to 4pm never got a connection ,got to home page a 10 times then frooze ,couldnt place a bet all afternoon with them,it was gold cuip day i hear you say - well free65s site worked well and first winner was 4/1 so alot of free bettors would of been logging on but still got through ,so why can betfair be beat hands down by free65 - if its number of customers causing it then get more band width, crazy turning customers away on biggest race day of the year.

free65 - 7/10

had some problems ,but to be expected given gold cup day, could get on site at all for 30 mins after our connor won as free bet winners were probably swamping it,still preformed well considering chaos going on and got most bets on.

koral - 0/10

hahaha pmsl - come if they dont have a web site then no chance of getting it on your mobile on gold cup day - again think site was down all day never got past home page.

conclusion - if any bookie is thinking that they had a great day on the internet because it was 30% up on last year -think again  it could of been 700% up on last year if you make sure you have band width and a better web site,free65 can do it so why cant you - surely your band width must be pro rata your customer numbers, that or just go and hire the computer programmer at free65 as he seems to have found a way of making sure its web site is always available - even after a big free bet offer winning on gold cup day.

anyone have their views about these or other mobile betting bookies.

I struggled to get much of a phone signal at all during the 4 days. Almost impossible to make a call and texts were received hours after they were sent. It really is an inconvenience that never seems to improve despite assurances that facilities have been upgraded.

This year was worse than last year

Disagree, I had no real problem (although I wasnt there on Frdiay).  b366 always available.  Network EE for me.

Last year was just unusable for me.

Mine worked fine until around 12.30, after that it was pretty much unusable. Its something that needs sorting

Never mind mobile, Coral was unavailable even via a PC for large chunks of the festival, most notably after Sprinter Sacre when it was down for hours afterwards as the £20ers blew their crap website away.

Coral was just a waste of time. Bills was okay for most of the festival 7/10

St an James was also fine. 8/10
