Massive confidence behind Hurricane Fly fully justified - Mullins/Walsh flying.
Simonsig needs to polish up his jumping before comparison with SS are justified - could be a race to savour with Al Ferof et al in the King George though

Twiston Davies runners performed despite the bug in the yard
Mouse Morris can be confident that he has his string spot on after the performance of Baily Green
Emmanuel Clayeux knows the time of day - his entry in Cross Coutry race should not be readily ignored.

The importance of previous festival form can not be overestimated.

My tent or yours needs to learn to settle as he pulls going any pace, once he does that he'll win next years champion, Champagne Fever will win next years Arkle (nap). Supreme was 4 seconds quicker than this years champion hurdle. It was a serious race this year.

Also, stats that horses due not regain Championship races may become a thing of the past. Modern training techniques may mean that horses can be at or near peak ability for a longer period of time. I know Kauto Star and Hurricane Fly are/were both freaks in their respective division, but I suspect this will start to happen more frequently now. |

tizzard is awesome - every year he has one that pops up at massive odds and he is still off the radar!

Criminal to call the ground soft, took me 10 seconds on the track to work out that is was good ground (with gs in places)

We learned that the ground was dead, and that Hurricane Fly only won because everything fell his way from Grandouet falling, Rock on Ruby not getting his conditions and needing blinkers, and with darlan not running as he would have pissed up.
