For those who like their racing, but only bet the odd quid or two, i thought i would put up a few at a longish price to maybe give you some ideas that could get you a run for your money.

Supreme Novices - I think Puffin Billy is well over priced at 16/1, so put a quid on that and place two 50 pence savers on Champagne Fever and Dodging Bullets.

Arkle - Baily Green is well over priced at 33/1, so have 50 pence or a quid e/w on him, as i think he is a better shout than the Mullins horse who is a heck of alot shorter.

Champion Hurdle - I think you'd get a run for your quid e/w if you put it on  Countrywide Flame at 16/1

Cross Country - Sacree Tiepty is 20/1 or a general 16/1, so i'd put your ten bob on that as i don't think they are here for the weather.

Mares - I think 25 or 50 pence each on both Une Artiste and Swing Bowler will give you something worth cheering on.

Good luck...the thread could continue on request if any small stake punters want.

Get out the spare change and lets see if there's any valye tommorrow

Neptune - I wouldn't discourage anyone from having 50 pence each on Chatterbox at 10/1 and 50 pence on Sizing Gold in particular at 33/1

RSA - check for spare change kicking about down the back of your sofa and ignore all the much of a muchness and back Terminal at 20/1 e/w

Champ Chase - If the Queen Mother was still with us, i think she would dip into her purse and have 50p e/w on Wishfull thinking.
