Just wondering peoples opinion on Jezki winning the Supreme Novices. I personally think he will win, the form is in the book. Barry Geraghty always talks him up. Jessica Harrington always talks him up also.
I think the bigger field wont be a problem as he is rode prominently. Ground will be fine. He runs well fresh, so the break will help.
Any opinions??
p.s Pique Sous in same race has a strong e/w chance.
Jessica Harrington may be confident, but she was also confident on Steps To Freedom last year. I'm not using that as an excuse, but you're unlikely to hear her say she would swap hers for something else.

That's not the main reason !....nobody knows how this lay off is going to effect him, and backing a horse everytime your Harringtons and Nicholls make positive comments will make you a resident of cardboard city. You simply have to decide how much this horse can improve after a lay off.

of course its main reason he didnt look like he handled track particularly well and he hasn't been on it since. Also the winner is up against him next week.

I see the break as a positive, he had three races in 5 - 6 weeks late 2012. After these races B Geraghty was beaming about him. The ground doesnt worry me too much although i accept he would be better on good ground. The ground he gets on Tuesday will be alot better than he has encountered in Ireland.

Cheltenham isn't the only track with a tough finish. The best horses tend to act there. It's not as big a deal as some make out. If it has enough stamina it will be ok.

Either the stewards at Newbury on the 29th December should have given McCoy a serious holiday or the handicapper has lost the plot, Jezki has done everything right and people are knocking him, a lay off might not be ideal but 4 successful runs over hurdles is perfect, rather have Barry on board but if the horse is good enough Robbie won't be a problem. I have a strong view that a buyer wouldn't pay 500,000 for a horse rated less than 160, so he hasn't that much to find in my book. A little luck and an ideal passage and those who kept faith might just be rewarded.
