imo he's probably the best jockey to show a horse a fence.

agree...he's definitely deteriorated over Chelt fences last 2 or 3 yrs for some reason...stats dont lie

Falling off Kauto Star a perfect example.

One of the greatest jockeys of all time, if he had the same amount of rides as AP had he'd have been champion jockey for the last 15 years in the uk . .with 300+ winners every season . .BUT 52 rides 52 losers including n Gold Cup winners doesn't bode well and for that reason...I'm out.

So based on this stat you are opposing all his chase rides at the festival blindly?

Worrying stat if you're a fan of Arvika Legionnaire, Boston Bob, Aupcharlie, Silviniaco Conti or Ulck Du Lin.
By:
Graeme83
When: 09 Mar 13 12:05
He won't be on Boston Bob or AupCharlies so that's not much of a concern.
By:
SoYouThink
When: 09 Mar 13 12:18
Who'll be on them then?
By:
Slabster
When: 09 Mar 13 12:22
Latest bit of news on Boston Bob said Townend most likely rides him, as Ruby rides Unioniste.

Andrew Lynch will ride Aupcharlie as he rides all the Potts' horses.

There is something not right about this statistic Analogue??

I did a search on the Racing Post website and he's

2 from 16 in Cheltenham chases in 2010-11
4 from 29 in Cheltenham chases in 2011-12
4 from 15 in Cheltenham chases in 2012-13

AD I presume you are just trying to stir the sh1t with this one. There are statistics and statistics.

For the record, that stat is absolute rubbish. He rode Al Ferof in the Paddy Power Gold Cup

Shouldn't really be posting nonsense like that unless you're certain

Here's some other useful facts -

Tony Mccoy has not ridden a hurdles winner at Cheltenham since Unsinkable boxer won

Paul Nicholls has gone 14 years without winning a hurdle race at Cheltenham

It is widely accepted that Nicky Henderson won 7 races last year. This is not true. He has saddled 145 runners at Cheltenham without a winner.

It was festival i meant Soyouthink. Kauto Star was the last chase course winner he rode at the festival...Hope that clears it up Blush

They must have slipped in another festival or two since 2009 that I wasn't aware of, it's impossible for Ruby to have rode 52 festival chases since he won on Kauto Star.

Isn't this the stat for Nicholls horses?
By:

When: 09 Mar 13 17:20
the clue is in the title THIS DECADE so that is 2 festivals, 10 chase races per festival = 20 races Crazy

The telling thing for me is that Ruby has NEVER won a chase on a Nicholls OR Mullins horse at either the Cheltenham Festival or Aintree Grand National Meeting whilst going right handed.
