I backed Simonsig to win the Arkle 3 years ago after seeing him win a point to point. I got 500/1.

I've got 100/1 on Bobs worth in the gold cup. I backed him after he won the Albert Bartlett.

I also have 66/1 on Sprinter Sacre to win the QMCC.

Mug punter Eboue. Got 1000 on here for Hurricane Fly 2013 Champion Hurdle when he was just a glimmer in Montjeu's eye.

I have got a load of non-running AP bets (3 in the Arkle alone!), but hopefully that will be balanced out by some of these:

Best AP price is Sir Des Champs @ 33-1 for teh GC, placed on the morning before his Jewson win last year

Others I am pleased with are Zarkandar at 14-1 and Sanctuaire e/w at 50-1
Report maelduin March 6, 2013 1:50 PM GMT
Good thread spoiled by the few clowns who can't fathom other people getting big prices. Pont Alexandre did trade @ 100/1 on BF and there were lots of MTOY @ 20/1 going around after his defeat to Chatterbox, so please get over yourselves.

I got Un Atout @ 33/1 and Dynaste @ 7/1 (RSA doubt now) and lots of void bets of course. glta

Best ones MTOY 10/1 + 20/1, Jezki 8s, RoR 10s, Binocular 25s, Overturn 7s, but its a nice feeling, that once again, i can sit back and enjoy the week deep in the knowledge i cannot lose as long as no 100/1 pokes win any of the championship races! Heck one year i might even stay well clear of dem handicaps i always seem to squander me profits on haha Laugh
Report buddeliea March 7, 2013 7:49 AM GMT
Got Aupcharlie at 300 and 530 to win the ArkleLaugh,my brother has even bigger.

Still in at confirmation stage.

Hilarious if they DO choose that race for him.
Report Sergei_Rebrofl March 7, 2013 9:15 AM GMT
Wonderful Charm for the WH could be a good one, had a bit on at 50s or so then topped up a little at 80.

I'm happy enough with Rival D'Struval at 16s and the Fly at 5s, my antepost book is relatively light this year though.
Report Roger The Butler March 7, 2013 9:31 AM GMT
Have a 5-fold (2 in already) rolling onto Simonsig (3/1), Quevega (11/10) and Sprinter Sacre (Evs). Worth a fortune if they come in.
Report sintonian March 7, 2013 12:15 PM GMT

Thats brilliant Rog. When did you place it and what were the other two if you dont mind me asking?
Report johntucker March 7, 2013 12:22 PM GMT
I've a fair sized double with Road to Riches 7/4 earlier in the season and SDC 7/1. Had a treble with Al Ferof for the King George but we know what happened there.
Report Can't Catch Me March 7, 2013 12:25 PM GMT
I have one e/w double I am delighted with: Zarkandar (CH) at 14/1 and Boston Bob (RSA) at 10/1.

Also an e/w trixie Boston Bob 8's, Une Artiste 8's and Dodging Bullets 14's.
Report Roger The Butler March 7, 2013 12:32 PM GMT
Placed it mid-November and wanted to maximise what funds I could put on the Cheltenham treble, so put in Sizing Europe to win the Clonmel Chase that day at 1/5 and Hurricane Fly to win the Morgiana that weekend at 8/13.

Won a fortune at the Festival in 2003 with a December treble on Azertyuiop (6/1), Baracouda (6/4 - error) and Best Mate (3/1) which is still my biggest win by a mile but this would more than double it. Have to say it is looking fairly feasible at the moment, but do worry that Quevega could run flat.
Report sintonian March 7, 2013 12:35 PM GMT
Simonsig i'd be more concerned about out of the 3 tbh but we all see it differently! Excited
Report Can't Catch Me March 7, 2013 1:43 PM GMT
Brilliant mate, well done. Will be cheering it on for you!

Have to say Quevega would be my worry too. Dont think she's come across anything as good as Une Artiste in recent renewals, and on a line through Alasi, she wont have to improve much to be bang there.
Report alleged22 March 7, 2013 1:46 PM GMT

Report Brooksielad March 7, 2013 10:22 PM GMT
I like this fergie horse in the bumper.
Report bigblockhead March 7, 2013 10:30 PM GMT
CCM - hope your ew double lands as they are my biggest ante post bets but in singles ew zarkandar @ 6/1 and boston bob at 13/2,
as for quevega ("dont think shes come across anything as good as une artiste")i don't think your giving Voler La Vadette enough credit for last years world hurdle under a fine ride by Lynch when Une art' was winning a handicap off 10'8. I think Quevega is bomb proof and imo unaccompanied would have been the only danger to the mare but now its a one horse race!

I laid 3/1 for SS in the queen mother on ankle day last year. Got that 1 wrong for £12 but Big Bucks has covered that mistake good luck all looking forward to the best week of the year win or lose at least they are trying this week lol
Report Navel-Gazer March 8, 2013 12:01 AM GMT
Roger - best of luck with that bet...I have to admit I'd have laid the balls of Simonsig & Quevega at that stage at those prices, though even at levels, Sprinter Sacre has always scared the pants off me!

PS - I can't believe Mr.Eboue has escaped serious flak for his post and I can only assume we're unanimous in thinking he had a long inhalation of his bong just before he posted that!
It'd be nice if it was true so I hope for your sake Mr.Eboue you're not pulling our pissers, and the very best of luck if you really ARE ON at those prices Wink I sincerely would like to see them all win as I'm not involved in those races (except for a £400 free bet on Finian's Rainbow which mightn't even line up) and I like to see real champions'd ruin the entire Festival if Sprinter Sacre didn't do the business in style.

"I backed Simonsig to win the Arkle 3 years ago after seeing him win a point to point. I got 500/1.

I've got 100/1 on Bobs worth in the gold cup. I backed him after he won the Albert Bartlett.

I also have 66/1 on Sprinter Sacre to win the QMCC"

You have to admit Mr.E...that's worthy of a chuckle or several from ANYONE! Devil
