Brilliant - makes studying more interesting. Could be more than useful for P/pot perms. Cheers. Not being cheeky but is there something similar for Aintree.

Thank you for the kind words. Glad you all seem to enjoy it. (Remember the Wealth Warning on the bottom of Home Page) Sorry, crystalhunt but I have only been to Aintree twice and have not got the information necessary for something like this.  Now trying to see if it is actually true that three quarters of every Triumph field wouldn't qualify for the Fred Winter therefore all owners just out for a jolly!

I can confirm that it is true!!

A few years ago (mid-nineties) I part-owned a horse that we entered in the Triumph (day out & jolly easily springing to mind) and the bugger led to three out.

Had there been a Fred Winter in those days we wouldn't have got in it Laugh That year we had the option of running in the "trial" Friday they held that year and we are convinced we would have trotted up.

We went back the following year and ran in the Coral Cup (yes another jolly) and we were moral victors: beaten around 43 lengths from 47lb out of the handicap Happy

Like that Sawyer, have decided that your reply is evidence enough.  You obviously got some buzz standing in that parade ring. I remember in the 'trial' year, it was too easy to get a drink.  Suffered accordingly.

Thanks for all the kind words.  Results of my selections are on gaultstats.  For some reason, Gold Cup Day once again was the best day for my stats selections.  If spared, will update for next year.  In 2014 I will be asking for donations to the Injured Jockeys Fund.  After the awful injury to JT McNamara, I think we should support these warriors. Go easy.
