With a clear run in the Neptune, he would definitely have been second and stayed on well. Will relish the quicker ground, is the youngest of the main fancies, the least experienced with plenty of scope for improvement. You'll be unsurprised to learn I've backed him too!

It scared the life out of me seeing a thread titled Monksland! Was worried it was bad news. I had a big study up about a month ago and came to the conclusion then it had to be Monksland in an open year. I totally agree about his run in the Neptune, was given plenty to do and got stopped at a crucial point. Solid form and he seems to be improving and relished the step up to 3 miles. Looks a very solid selection to me as he'll also love the quicker ground

had to laugh at mick fitz today when i heard his summary on atr preview of race ...he said no excuses for him last year behind Simonsig ,got a smooth run through !!!!! and bascically cant have him...wtf is he at on our screens if this is the extent of his research.....sorry for the fright Ming and good luck with your bet
