Anyone else who has backed these two not exactly delighted to know they are probably going to be ridden by Mullins and Fogarty?

I hope Fogarty keeps the ride. He's one of the best amateurs around but has had a tough time of it the past year or so with injury. He's won a Land Rover Bumper and the big amateur race in Galway, as well as winning around Cheltenham before. In 11/12 he was 5th in the amateur riders table behind PW Mullins, N Carberry, Robbie McNamara and Katie Walsh, and that was with being injured half the season. In 10/11 he was just 6 winners off Mullins in 3rd. In short he's more than capable and hopefully he'll get a good spin off Le Vent D'Antan Happy

Who did u think would be riding them?SillyMullins one of only four riders to have ridden winner of this race more than once. Very little wrong with either. And yes i know Mullins has had loads of rides and pick of horses from top bumper stable.

Oufies Pal, Danny Mullins will be riding Golantilla, not Patrick.

Imagine spending half a mill on a horse and then sending it to Tony Martin and Jocking up Danny Mullins......

Golantilla recently purchased by Barry Connell who is desperate to win the Festival bumper. Danny Mullins is Connell's retained jockey. Who else did you expect to be riding the horse?

Bit snappy for little reason. Those who backed Golantilla prior to the sale and the recent retainer would have had no idea who was riding and the original question asked about confidence in Mullins riding - there was no suggestion about another jockey.

I could win (well maybe) on Le vent D'antan!!! This looked the best bumper horse i've seen in years. Went the entire race on the wide outside giving away lengths quickend up and put the race to bed in about 5 strides and who rode it that day. Im not worried a bit by who's riding it, If the horse is as good as 'I'think it will win.

been in my local ladcrooks this morning, no price shown on screens for le vent yet 10s on website, is it just me fancying this horse and reading to much into it or are they ducking this for a reason?
Report robbo69 February 24, 2013 2:43 PM GMT
in shop screen reads
Golantilla 7-1
Empiracle 8-1
Clondaw Court 9-1
Union Dues 12-1
Website reads
same top 3 then Le Vent D'antan 10-1.

Obviously I'd prefer Walsh or Gerraghty on Golantilla, but I said the same about Dunguib and his amateur jockey didn't have too many problems - hopefully history repeats itself.Excited

It doesn't matter who sits on Golantilla, it's one of THE steering jobs at this years festival.
